I have the PC DOS ver. of MK2:
1) When I try to change the default keys (which are the keypad ones- 4=Left, 6=Right) with the Arrows and Insert, End, Home etc., the first key I press, no matter what it is, says "LSHIFT". What can I do?

2) I tried to use the AICULEDSSUL cheat. If I understand correctly it must be done at the very first screen (before the AKKLAIM screen). Problem is, it goes away real fast (stays for less than 1 second), and I don't have the time to write the cheat. What to do?

Thank you.

i remember having some problems as you when i played mk2 dos years ago (ah).

for keyboard stuff try to tap the key few times if not reinstall the game, i'm not sure how it was fixed, but it happened to me too.

as for code, i dont remember, try pause the game at the first screen, then type it and unpause, otherwise just use trainers.

What operating system are you using to play the game?

If its windows 2000 or windows XP you might do better if you run it in DosBox (a free x86 dos emulator). I run a lot of old DOS games in dosbox and they run great. A lot of them didn't run or ran with a ton of problems in windows 2000 (and probably XP as well).

Does anyone remember if the screen to enter the code lasted for a few seconds originally? It might be a case of the program being made for much slower computers so it jumps by fast. DosBox would let you adjust how fast the virtual processor is to slow things down that are going too fast as well.

Its a free program.

yeah it shows only for 1-2 seconds, and hides up really quickly on higher computers.

DosBox can fix that problem i think, i tryed MK Konquest GP32 game with it and it was terribly slow.
