I got interested in Mortal Kombat very recently, around the time MKX released. I watched the whole MK9 and it made me kind of want to play one of the original games. To that end, I recently beat the arcade version of Mortal Kombat 2. (I couldn't get past the second character until I played the gameboy version and actually learned how to sweep and uppercut and stuff). It was pretty hard, but also quite satisfying....

But I hear that the skillsets for beating single player and actually playing w/ other people are hecka different..... which is a bit of a relief because I kept wondering how CPUs were so good at grabbing and using projectiles. But also I never learned how to block. What do I need to get better at if I want to play one of the classic MK games online?

Also is MK2 even a good game to be picking up? Should I be playing like, UMK3 instead? Also what's the most common way people play Mortal Kombat online? Like which emulator, etc should I be using? Thanks in advance guys.
