yes they are bad, but they are using 16bit hardware so they have there excuse.
But there is no excuse for the atrocity that is MAT2!!!!

Yes indeed both are terrible, but pound for pound, MK3 and UMK3 are more accurate in terms of the finer properties of attacks on Genesis, sad to say. I think Genesis did a gross job with every version of MK, 1 through U, but as far as gameplay goes, I was just playing someone in it yesterday because it's all they could play, and it feels simply more like you're playing the arcade. One disappointing thing is Human Smoke does not have his pop up combo, which pretty much makes him just like Scorpion, since actually he has all of Scorpion's combos, not even the modified kick combo. I can do all the little extra hits here and there from the Arcade on Genesis in combos that I cannot get, or anywhere near as easily, on SNES. One of the major flaws on SNES is the distance from the corner n which punches will push you back. I know it's kinda tough to just take someone's word on it, but Genesis is definitely closer, just in terms of gameplay.

I used to play MK3 on Genesis waaay more than the arcade. I find the gameplay fast, crunched sounds and less graphics to deal with.
It's good when you're bored and feel like using some kind of Mortal Kombat 3 moving images, atleast it whoops Game Boy, which has no real sounds and no color.
I did the Scott's Stuff code on Genesis (unlike arcade, which probably has absolutely nothing). I mean, c'mon, a videogame couldn't be complete without codes, am I right?
If you read this far, I was bs'ing about the Genesis MK3. What in the hell would I be thinking to choose a piece-of-shit video game over an arcade, the super, duper, mega, ultimate, thrilling, killing machine?
Mortal Kombat 3 dominates any home game console, especially a Genesis, insulting machine.

Heh, that's pretty sad. Never noticed that before.
Ever noticed it's really hard to start a chain with a jump punch on the 16 bit UMK3s? It's really annoying.

Yeah you have to really labor the button hits, especially on SNES, sometimes it tries to act like MK3 I think.
