Has anyone else noticed the differences in the Bank arena from MK3, to MK Trilogy. In MK3 the floor had a huge dragon emblum on it, where as in MK Trilogy the floor was entirely red. Anyone else notice this, and any other differences in any other stages besides the obvious MK1 stages?

They added a carpet for whatever reason. Probably because the Dragon symbol looked totally out of place, however I think it'd be awesome in real life lol.

The carpet was intended to be there when the level was first designed. If you look at some old MK3 pics you'll see it there.

Do you have any links to those screen shots? I can't remember ever seeing them.

Matt
They used the same floor for the Bank, and the Rooftop, the one with the MK Dragon logo on it.

I thought the Bank had a red carpet in the PSX MK3. I remember seeing it before Trilogy. I like the Bank.

No, I don't know of any.

But if you want proof you could do a google search for old posts and see people talking about.

Another interesting thing about MK3 stages was that they originally had different names, most having reference to the developers. Like "Tobias Tower" and "Beran's Balcony".

They seem to put dragon logo's where ever there is a blank space!!

I think there was concept picture in MKDA which may have shown it with carpet instead of the dragon?

There is a concept drawing of it, but I can;t remember what the floor looks like.

I do know a helicopter had crashed through, which looked cool.

Yeah they always use to toy with different names like that in all the games, I was just asking because I had never seen it and would like to. I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

There is a video clip of Jax comboing Sheeva on the bank from a test version of MK3 in MKD's trading card section. Here is a still from it:

That is one funky looking carpet.

Yeah, but the carpet looked way different in MKT. And no, it wasn't there in MK3 for PSX, I have the game and the floor is there. Also, the helicopter thing, I think it's an interesting idea, but having too much stuff going on in the background would make MK WAY too Street Fighter.

I like the way it looks in that picture that MK2KungBroken put up. They should have gone with that.
