Yeah, I know what u mean. What happened after the MK3 invasion and before the Deadly Alliance? I have heard from many places though, that Quan Chi killed Shinnok when they were banished once again to the Netherealm, after MK4.

The best I can assume is, after Kahn's defeat in MK3 Reptile thought Kahn was dead, so he moved on and found Quan Chi and Shinnok, and joined up with them. After they were defeated, Reptile learned that Kahn was still alive, and went back to working for him.

There seems to be a contradiction here. The fact that Quan Chi has Shinnok's amulet going into DA suggests to me that his ending did happen; however, the fact that in Scorpion's ending, which we KNOW happened, Quan says Scorpion and Sub Zero were pawns for SHINNOK, not Quan himself, suggesting that he was loyal to Shinnok.

Anyway, I really can't say who was most likely to have killed Shinnok.

It's suggested in Kano's Konquest that Jarek is dead (at one point, if you fail a lesson it'll say "C'mon, do it for Jarek!"). Kai is likely to be dead; at least his ending probably didn't happen, since in it Raiden gives him his staff, but in MKDA Raiden still has the staff. Or it might be a spare staff he uses in MKDA, and Kai is out travelling the world. Reiko's wherabouts are unknown. Tanya, however, is known to be in MKD, so we're sure to learn what she's been up to, and maybe even what happened to some other characters. And as for Fujin, I think he was protector of Eathrealm until MKDA, then Raiden came back and probably said, "I'd rather handle this myself, you can take a coffee break."

Nothing major happened in 4 .Shinnok was so weak and afraid ,he had to wait till Shao Kahn was defeated before trying anything! What a joke ,
an unfunny one at that!

To take a guess:
In Reptile's MK4 bio it says he joined Shinnok after he was banished to the Netherealm. So maybe, after Kahn was defeated, Reptile was captured by the Edenian forces and sent to the Netherealm. After Shinnok was defeated, Reptile returned to Kahn probably because his mind was devolving and Kahn was the only master he remembered.

According to Quan Chi's ending, he had the Amulet the whole time and the one he gave to Shinnok was a duplicate. So Quan Chi, with Shinnok's Amulet, was dragged into the Netherealm with Scorpion leaving a powerless Shinnok to be defeated by, most likely, Liu Kang.

Supposedly, Jarek is trapped in the prison in MK:D. Tanya's coming back. Fujin was promoted to guardian of Earth after Rayden became an Elder God, but in MK:DA Rayden steps down so Fujin probably just went back to being the regular god of wind. Kai, if he's still alive, is probably wandering around. And Reiko, if he survived, walked into his portal. Where that went, who knows.

really interesting theories...yes I doubt that Quan turn his back on Shinnock, because why would he have form an alliance with him?

However the fact that Quan had the amulet and that Scorpion's ending did happened explain a lot of things, but still learn how Shinnock was killed exactly and from where do all those characters were coming from would be interesting if it would be exaplained in MKD)
