MKII: Delay of gameplay of PS2?

I was playing MKII in my Local Acarde and I did Shreeder move with Baraka and Liu Kang did his Biclye kick then his foot got caught in the blade and it sliced him like it supposued too.

Then i got MK Shoalin Monks then i did the cheat to unlock the MKII demo pn my PS2 then i played with Baraka and i did the Shreeder attack and Lui Kang did his Biclye kick and it attcked me! in the Shreeder attack!!

Lack of gameplay holding up MKII for PS2?

In the arcade, depending on how far apart the characters are, sometimes Liu Kang's bike kick beats out Baraka's blade fury, and sometimes Baraka's move beats out Liu Kang's.

I'm not really sure how it figures out who wins. From full screen away, typically Liu Kang wins. From a step or two less than a full screen away, Baraka wins. Another step or two in and Liu Kang wins, and then in close Baraka usually wins.

It could be related to height. Liu Kang ascends and descends very slightly during the bike kick. There is probably a very specific height he needs to be a to beat Baraka's move.
