hey, im really bored and felt like playing a old mk game i put in mkt for n64 man they really screwed this game up the sound is very quite and fuzzy and the graphics look like they been pasted out of a magazine. It really bums me out i feel like playing a old good mk game and its impossible to find mkt for pc the game dissapeared its so old i really wish game stores would carry it i cant even find it on e bay this isnt good. I cant even remember how good mk is because of the awful n64 version. i wish mat2 would come out this month i miss the good old mk games not the new 3d tekken kombat games.
Yeah the 64 version sucked ,what's with the combined sub-zero?It didn't even have 1-button fatalities.Shao Kahn and Motaro needed Human Smoke type codes to use them and could only be used on certain levels!I know in the past games the bosses were only in certain levels and couldn't be used in single player ,The PSX version spoiled me ^_^

I still see MKT for PSX around at stores, go for that. Its basically the same as MKT for PC and is tons better then MKT for N64.

Yea, a few months ago they re-released it as greatest hits, I picked it up brand new for $20
grin I even kept my origina PSX just for that game, since it freezes on PS2 sometimes.

I don't mind the N64 version, then again, I gues that's just me! You say they re-released MK:T for PS1? Does it work any better on PS2?

I like the n64 version. Even though it doesn't have the bosses at the character select screen, as in the playstation version, it doesn't have either the loading time - what really makes a huge diference. It is very boring to keep waiting between a battle and another. Oh, and I don't mind the fact that the unmasked sub-zero isn't in it. Never really liked him. I miss Goro, Kintaro and the classic characters, though.
The loading times in MKT for the PSX are driving me nuts, sometimes the loading times are longer than the whole fight lol!
In a VS fighting session for around 20 matches the loading times are nearly 30-40% of the whole time.

The PC Version has some pixelated graphics because its on a Monitor and the N64... dont talk about it.

Well to be honest, it took so long between me stopping to play MKT for N64, and starting to play it for PSX, that I don't recall the difference, I should check it out... And I DO like the unmasked Sub Zero, so That's a plus.... Well, if you can't find a good MK game for the consoles, then buy a controller and d/l a game or two... For some emulator or something.

I really don't mind the load times for PSX much. I turn off everything like the characters on the select screen, the versus sceen, and the load times are not bad at all.

In my mind they are worth it because PSX's really is the best version of MKT. N64 is so sloppily created its a shame. It almost seems like they took the engine they created for UMK3 for SNES and just stuck bigger graphics in it, it has the same loose, un-arcade-like feel to it. MKT for the PC is very close to the final PSX version but it is a bit more broken, and the lack of loading time doesn't make it up for me. I prefer the better gameplay above all else.

Besides, it doesn't take a million patches to get the damn thing working. Yes, MKT is probably best for PSX.

I like the N64 version because I HATE the ps1 controller for fighters. Besides that, I really don't care about Goro or Kintaro, to slow for my tastes.

It took me a while to get used to the PSX controller. I DID like the N64 controller, because the 6 buttons resembled Genesis, (my first real MK experience) I was a pro at that game back in the day, for genesis, you know, MK3 and UMK3... So at first the controllers were better for N64, but it took some practice and I gont used to PSX... But hey, it could be worse, at least they're not like XBOX or Game Cube controllers.

bah!! The psx version sucks in my opinion. I hate the loading times, and the way the game freezes sometimes. I also didnt like the fact that I could barely hear anything while I was fighting. I prefer the N64 version to be honest, the hell with goro and kintaro anyway.

I agree. They aren't important characters in the long run. smile
