Wouldnt it be cool for MKT to be for the DS? it could have alot of features the
current games have (krypt, profiles, etc.) I have a whole text document I created
for this idea, I know this may never happen but it was pretty fun making it.

is there any place I can put this text document?

OK, here it is. I hope it turns out good copying and pasting it on this....

I know this might not never happen, but it was actually pretty
fun to make :) also.. I might need to do some editing to this as well
when I get time.
And yeah I know I organize crappy :P

I was thinking...since PSP gots a MK why not the DS? It could have
these kind of features:

Version 1

Starting Screen:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SINGLE KOMBAT
-Arcade
-1 on 1 with selected CPU charachter
-2 on 2 or more with selected CPU charachters
-8 tournament with selected CPU charachters/humans
-Challenge
-Practice

Multikombat: see multiplayer section
Options:
-VS options: see multiplayer options section
-Difficulty type and level: Difficulty - MK3(default) or UMK3 style
easy-Hard
-Blood levels:
none:....have fun with Friendships :P
Low: contains some blood but no fatalitys
medium (default): more blood and fatalitys
High: ALOT OF BLOOD!!! and fatalitys (like MKT)

The Krypt: Pretty much along the lines of the GBA MK crypts
where you can get alternate colors and stages.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

VS screen: uses either the buttons or the Stylus or thumb to touch
vs screen codes.

Charachter Selection: you use the stylus to choose the character, thier
-bio appears in the upper screen and you press L and R for more colors.
-You start out with 24/36 of the characters.

Charachter Roster Organization:

-Presets:
-Balanced- takes away Noob Saibot, kintaro, Motoro and maybe a
few others.. would be more like the arcade umk3 roster but with a few more charachters
-Normal- has the N64 Roster
-Max (defualt)- has ALL Characters that you have unlocked

-custom (using the touch screen stylist)
*Background: Chooses VS and character selection
screen backgrounds
*Charachters: The top screen will be the charachters you can
add to the bottom screen, you can use the stylus to organize
them in anyway you choose.
*Music you want for pretty much everything (Charachter select screen, vs screen, stages, etc.)

Multiplayer modes (online or normal) can be upto 8+ players

-Kombat (1 on 1)
-2 on 2
-3 on 3 or more (when one person leaves, that character is controled by another player
-Tournament mode
-Multiplayer options cool stuff you can modify and dont want to enter at the vs screen
Character roster type: Balanced, Normal, Max and custome
Max Damage : 45% (can be changed to none or and percentage)
No throws : OFF
Health : 100%
Kombat Zone : Random
Auto Combos : OFF
Random message : OFF (text that appears on bottom of screen
and pretty much every other VS screen option that I did not mention

-servers: a list of servers will apear on top of the screen and the
options they enabled will be at the bottom
-updates: (if the DS has it) you can recive stages and bugfixes

Adding to the replay value:
Unlock characters by...
fighting them in arcade mode by doing crazy stuff
(like in MK2 where you had to keep low- kicking your opponent
to fight Jade) when you beat them, it will be exactly like Umk3
and also by going to challenge mode
The krypt

Challenge mode: Crazy ass vs matches like fight all 4 bosses at once.

making Pallete Swaps less noticable:
-Classic Subzero could be in his MK:MSZ costume as well as a 1 or
2 other ninja's..
-Ermac could have darker skin like he did in UMK3
-Could probly get rid of masked sub-zero and give his move to the other
one
-cut and paste thier arms in diffrent directions atleast lol

Missing stuff in UMK3 that we would want in MKT for the DS:
-ending music when the match is ended

Endings:text would be at the bottom screen and picture whould be at the
top

Suggestions/stuff I should add?:PM Iori9 at the www.MK5.org or post
it on this topic.

Credits and good suggesters: Iori9/Cloak -just me for now
this is not finished yet, but I got good progress so far.

I would love for a port of some of the 2D MK games on either the DS or the PSP.

To be honest, I'd rather play MK on my PSP. The better picture, sound, and controls (PSP has the analog stick) seal the deal. Still, I wouldn't be opposed to a DS MK title.

I think the best we're going to get though is download PS One games on the PSP. I know I plan to download MK Trilogy and MK 4 for the PSP. I just hope that they are up fairly quickly after the PS3 launch. There shouldn't really be too much of loading times on the PSP since you'll have the game downloaded to your memory stick.

This is a cool idea, but if they are gonna redo the game they should bring it back as a bonus feature or something playable on a regular console or stand alone game too I guess. I'd rather see it with arcade perfect resolution on a big tv and online capabilities. Although, I'd say if they do redo it, your DS idea sounds more plausible. Maybe they could add characters from the newer games and some new moves and combos for the old ones. That is prolly wishful thinking but who knows.

Got my DS now and i love it! I'v also thought of a cool add on if MKT comes to the DS.

Kreate-A-Tournament!

Basically you create your own MK game from everything that is compiled in MKT. Write the story, pick which characters are selectable, pick stages, even pick the bosses. Hell if theres room, make it so you can assign secret characters(lol we know all the characters anyhow!) and how to find them. This would make MKT for the DS a must buy. Oh and a practice mode would be cool to.
