i just bought MKT today for ps1 and i have some questions. first is there any point to those things on the vs screen that change symbols when you press buttons? second in the options menu where there are all the icons like to change controller options and the difficulty. there is a green question mark icon in the center that you can not select and i would like to know if that is significant or if its just there. thanks in advance for your help

To unlock the green question mark in the options menu, hold R1+R2+L1+L2+up for about 4 seconds, the screen will shake and you will be able to choose it.

The symbols in the squares are for Kombat Kodes. If you enter the right combinations, special things happen in the match. Check out gamefaqs.com for all the kodes.
