the same thing happens to me too, but only sometimes.


It works about 50/50% of the time.

The same problem plagues the PSX version.

The solution: Make sure you're not pressing any other buttons, including the directions. Allegedly, it also helps to be at the correct distance. The button input doesn't register, but you can still do it manually.

IIRC, Stage Fatalities can't be performed via one button fatalities. HP is Brutality, HK is Fatality 1/2, LK is Fatality 1/2, Run/Block are Bab/Friendship, and LP is Animality.

There is a little trick. Works with me. Simply press and hold the button that you want to perform the finishing move, just after the message Finish Him. But never stay to far from the enemy, or the character will jump or slide.

Try to move to the exactly direction that the fatality has to be made.

So let me get this straight....


I hit the opponent with my final blow (deplete his health bar)

Then I quicky press and hold, for example, HK

I move into the position of the fatality

Then I let go of the HK button?


EDIT: Ya know it's funny... babalities and animalties work every time.... and they're the gayest of finishers.
