Hello. Just wondering...

Has anyone here done a side-by-side comparison of the Mortal Kombat 1 game that comes with the Collector's Edition for both PS2 and XBOX? I'm going to be basically buying a console (I have neither a PS2 nor XBOX) just for the MK1 arcade that's included in the special edition, but I'm not sure which is better. Please, don't suggest MAME, as my skills (or lack thereof) with electronics don't make it an option. I'm a diehard fan of MK1, and have been waiting for a true version of the arcade for way too long now (I know, I know...it's not "arcade perfect," but I'll take what I can get).

Based on what I've read so far, I'm leaning towards PS2.

Any opinions or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Both the same, but the PS2 version as one major "advantage" some people may like, though not really that big of a deal.

When you load up MK1 from the disc, you can take the disc out and the game will play normally with music and everything since the ROM was loaded onto the PS2's RAM when you loaded it from the disc.

Two differences I've noticed between the two is that the X-Box seems to handle the games better than the PS2, and Tsung morphs are quicker than on PS2. The other thing which was hard to see unless you look carefully. The color, and picture on the X-Box are better than the PS2.

Actually, Shang Tsung morphs just as fast. I compared them side-by-side yesterday.
