jax
reikos
johnny cage
jerek
tanya
fujin

Personally, i kind of hated MK 4. It was the first attempt at 3D in MK, wich should have been made differently (motion captured moves would help a lot). In addition to the crappy controls that MK had, they even added two dodge buttons (wich should just be a double tap in the "up" direction or "down" direction), and the input to grab a dropped weapon or stage weapon (giant bloody decapitated heads?? exageratledly enourmous stones?) just turned all the controll scene in ULTRA CRAPPY.
The graphics were... well a first try on 3D... the stages lacked the open background feature (you always fought on a pit, a small room, a tiny tomb, and never in an open field stage), the stage fatalities exagerated the use of the spiked ceiling (to the point of using it in the "Ice Pit" stage... yeah..), the story was not that good (pretty stupid, if you ask me), the boss was ridiculous... etc
Yeah, one thing i have to admit that MK 4 did right: the FMV endings. Yeah, it was wayyyyy cooler than the old style storyboard ending.
I still wonder why the hell Midway dropped that idea in MK DA. With the power of the back-in-the-day new machines, FMV endings would have rocked.
But yeah, Boon again proved his inteligence to us, by dropping it..

There was too much info already in the game and had nothing to do with Boon's intelligence, remember Midway gives the team a date to meet....which is not a wise ideal because they should give the MK team all the time they need.
Besides, that's not that important anyway....gameplay is the first thing people should be concerned about not costumes, FMV's etc...
Besides, MKDA was one of the best MK's easily already.
MK4 is the most hated MK by majority but it's like MKA, not nearly as bad as some fans bitch about....also have no concept of high level play and that personally gives you a better idea as you truly learn what works, what doesn't and if the games playable or not. MK4 and MKA are both very playable games. MKD is actually worse gameplay wise because of OTG's, easy FT's and infinites and has no counter game, parries or wake up..

I think many MK4 hatters dont like it because it is the only MK that the casual gamer can just pic up and play. its an arcade game, and mortal kombat is realy hard to learn how to play. I have lost 100s of dollers in koins trying to get good at the arcade. I love MK4. Its quick, EZ and intence.

One thing I do like about MK4 is the theme. The music and the stages are great. The gameplay sucks.

I thought MK4 was ok. Quan Chi and Shinnok were in it. The 3d one side step I didn't like. But it was fun to play.

I thought the fatalities were cool enough especially Fujin's second one and Shinnok's were cool as well. It was a good try between 2-d and 3-d games.
