Apparantly the latest patch for MK4 allows you to run the game in a higher resolution but when I install it, the game no longer runs on my machine (yes, I'm using Windows XP). The same happens when I try to use MK4 Enhanced. Has anybody got any ideas on how to fix this?

I didn't think any of the patches added higher screen res to the game?

This is from the patch readme
Mortal Kombat 4 Patch
=====================

Q. What does this patch do?

A. It adds another mode to the game allowing for fullscreen
hi-res (640x480x16bit) software rendering. Just press F9.
Also, it improves support for Win98/DirectX6 and fixes a few
bugs with the movies.

Q. How do I install the patch?

A. Install the game as normal, then copy the "Mortal Kombat 4.exe"
file (included with this readme) over the installed version.
The usual installation folder being either "C:\Mortal Kombat 4"
or "C:\Program Files\Mortal Kombat 4"

But as soon as I install it, it doesn't work. To be exact, it says that mortal kombat 4 isn't installed and setup needs to be run from disc. The same thing comes up if I use Mortal Kombat 4: Enhanced.
