Sorry for not putting it into the right forums, but it would have gotten way less attention there. Epic fail I didn't say patch in title.

Yes, the patch is out now! It fixed all the sounds/glitches, the online is totally perfect.
Way to go, Boon!

All sound glitches fixed? Hardly, Goro still has no theme in MK1. It starts up then just stops like before. Ugh. So this patch takes months and months to finally come out and its still not perfect. Yay.

No offense, but who gives a flying fuck? I'm pretty sure it can't take away from your gameplay all that much, as I play listening to music. It's a sound glitch. NRS did a great job with the patch. Maybe not up to your standards, but IMO its perfect for me.
If that isn't enough for you, look at the online play. It runs smooth as fuck. It's almost as good as the old UMK3 on XBL marketplace. Great job NRS.

Well, yeah it does bother me. I was expecting nothing short of absolute perfection. I don't play listening to music, I listen to all games as is. The netcode fix is outstanding news yes, I am extremely happy about that, but I don't see why only some sound issues were fixed. The feel of Goro is taken away with his theme missing. He just doesn't seem as imposing to me. It's the one player experience that bugs me
Fix the music glitches, and enable the vs. screen codes in ranked play. The original XBL version let you use codes, and there's no reason why they shouldn't be enabled.
Also, rev up the bass, ESPECIALLY in MK2. The PS3 MK2 shakes the floor when cranked up...this version just sounds very tinny.

I believe they are trying to make it like MK9 where you can't use K codes in ranked.
It would be nice to get a list of changes they made, as well as an indication that the vs screen codes are purposely disabled so we know if it's a bug or not.
That would probably be asking a bit too much, though. An apology for the broken release, 3 1/2 month-long delay on the patch, and lack of updates on the matter would have been nice as well. At least Capcom did that.

I'm playing it and it is fun. It is now totally playable online. I had a couple of fun games yesterday :)
Tried it out the other day. Online play is actually playable now, had a few good games, not many peoples online though.
The brightness issue is fixed which is great.
Overall the whole compilation still seems some somewhat lacklustre, but for the $10 paid it's not bad.
Menu navigation is really messed up though. Having to choose options instead of using red/B to go back and green/A to select was a big mistake. Just makes things more awkward than it needs to be. Original UMK3 on XBLA and MK9 done it well.

Hell with this.

I'm really sure it is. UMK3 on the DS, now that feels arcade perfect. This game right here feels 5% slower to me; I've tried one after the other.
