I remember when MK first came out on consoles, I wanted the PC version because it looked and played exactly like the arcade port. I was in a video game store one day and saw an MK PC port of some kind. This wasn't the original MK game, but rather it seemed to be a "hack" of some kind. It allowed you to play as any of the bosses, including Reptile. I don't remember the name exactly, but does anyone ever remember seeing something like this??

Also, there was a SNES version of MK that was never released, and it had an extra mode of gameplay called "exhibition." This too, also allowed you to play as any character within the game. Anyone familiar with this???

You saw a hacked version of MK1 for sale in a video store? That's interesting.

The DOS version of MK was alright but definately not "exactly" like the arcade. I'd say the Amiga version was probably closer...
