I am not sure if this is a game glitch. When I unlock the ? on the menu screen and enable the 1 button fatalities, they sometimes seem like they dont want to work when you press a button. The character just stands there and sometimes it does work.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

The PS2 doesn't run Mortal Kombat Trilogy properly, there are many bugs and glitches when playing it on PS2. To solve the glitch:

After you do the last move on your opponent, don't press anything until the Finsh Him/Her words disappear and then press the button of the fatality you want to do.

Raven's suggestion should work, this was an odd characteristic of MKT in general, not just a glitch for PS2.

Yeah, but if your MKT doesn't freeze on your PS2 you are onle lucky individual, I could get at least $50 for my PSX if I pawn it, but I can't cause I love MKT oh so much!

on the ps2 version if you beat the arcade mode it will freeze up when you are suppose to choose your reward. at least it did that to me.

Yeah thats what I usually had happen to me too. We used to play it every now and then without too much trouble (because playing 1player seems like a waste anyway), but then MK2KB just bought a new PSX to use for it since they are so cheap.

It locks up when time runs out to continue, or at least on mine. Also, when I try playing MKT the Playstation 2 makes really weird noises and doesn't read the disc, but when I leave the disc in for about an hour it will start working. I'm pretty sure that's just my disc though.

Yes, MKT is my faaave MK game so far... Dunno, maybe the face that up 'til MKT, all the characters were originated from 'real' people! heh! I have the same problem with MKT playing on the PS2.. it freezes it! Darnit!

I just checked out the Midway Arcarde Treasure pack #2, and it does have MKII and MK3, but not MKT... I'm sooo sad!!! woooooooooo!

lmao why WOULD it have had MKT?
How many of you are using your PS2 in the upright position? That could be your problem, I never use my PS2 upright and none of my games have any problems, not even MKT.

Just played Blackwizard tonight in MKT on EPSXE, about 15 matches, no desync with the frame rate forced at 53 FPS so it plays like UMK3 arcade. It was a lot of fun. There's nothing that can be done about the freezing as far as I know. The buggy version freezes and glitches more in general. If you're playing the CPU cause it's all you have to play against...nothing you can do really.

I never play with it upright. I did try once when the game wasn't working, and it still didn't work.
