Hi I just got Mk trilogy for my PC and I installed it all and I can't get the music or sound to come on! I have no idea what's wrong! I go into the directx setup and it says something that direct3d is not installed does this mean anything to anybody! I have the Mk trilogy xp patch on the game runs great just no music or sound please help anybody thanks!

Do you have any USB game controllers? If you do, try unplugging them, then start the game and see what happens. That solved a problem that I was having... not quite the same problem as you but you may as well try that out anyway.

Thanks BustaUppa for the help! I tryed that and I got the sound to come which is awsome thanks so much, but the music is still not coming on at all do you have any other ideas by chance or does anybody else know please help! thanks BustaUppa

You need the actual CD-ROM to get the music, otherwise you are out of luck.

I do have the cd-rom when I installed it it put all the tracks in a folder and I went in the folder and the stage tracks are all there I clicked on them and they play the music of the stages so I figured that I didn't need to have the cd in the cd drive for the music to play if the music is already on there ya know! Do you have to have the cd in the cd drive for the music to play?

I'm pretty sure the game is programmed to read music straight off the CD-ROM. In fact, you can put any audio CD in there, and it will read the tracks from that CD and use them in the game.
I'm not sure if there is any way around it.... or if there is, it probably isn't very convenient.
