Neijin and Taunt Observations...

I've noticed over the several times I've played MKDA that a Neijin or Taunt that a Neijin-capable/Taunt-capable character executes differ in effectiveness. I haven't thouroughly observed them yet, but I can state that Drahmin may possibly have the best Taunt in MKDA (It heals about 20% of his health. That's probably why it's the longest taunt animation). As for Neijin, Nitara might have the best one. Her combos devastate if performed directly after a Neijin.
I'm still observing, so I might repost with a hierachy of Neijin/Taunts. I might do the same for the other special attacks (3-D Attack and Escape).

Just like the Power-Ups, Nitara has the strongest one. She does A LOT OF DAMAGE after the Power-Up. I think they should have done a different animation for the Power-Up. The character becoming bigger is a little cartoonish in my view. They should have done something else like colored energy flowing trough the character's body for a second or two, what do you think ?

Yeah, that would indeed have been better! Perhaps for MK6... :)

I also agree, instead of getting bigger they should show their Chi or Fa Jing flowing though their body's.

It was just a little idea. It depends on how you visualize that in your head. I just don't like that thing of the character becoming bigger. It seems out of place in my view.

Actually on the MKDA tier list thread Rayrokka mentioned that Drahmin's neijin is in fact the most powerful, and I would be inclined to agree, considering his clock punch special move (or whatever it's called, it's done forward forward 2) takes away about 40% damage after the neijin is done.

Okay, I must excuse myself, I won't try to deny what Rayrokka said on that tread, these guys on the tier list tread are professionnals, so I don't want to get kicked out of this forum. Drahmin has the most powerful Neijin. I'm okay with that. I respect you xcarnagex , no flamming here buddy. Yeah, so cool then.

Is it just me, or does Sub Zero have the weakest power up?

Personally I find it a close call, but I'm just restating what Rayrokka said in the tier list post. I don't even use neijins that much myself, so I'm by no means any kind of authority on the subject, but seeing as Rayrokka is actually a member of the MK team, and said it was his idea for Drahmin to have the strongest power up, I'm inclined to take his word for it...

Drahmin might have the best Neijin, being able to inflict more damage with a single hit afterwards, but Nitara can utilise her Neijin better. The best you can do with Drahmin's Neijin is about 50% damage. You can get well over 100% (I've got it as high as 112% without the opponent having their weapon out) with Nitara's.

hmm...excellent point; I suppose Rayrokka may have meant that Drahmin's neijin was, hit for hit, the best, rather than referring to combo potential. So in that sense, yes, I suppose Nitara would be more likely to have the superior power-up.
