Do you think Noob Saibot is a cheap character for newbie players because of his no-block ball special move? Or is he fine to use and master for veteran players?

In UMK3 and MKT, Noob Saibot is made for Newbs. That is the only explanation for his brokenness. Thats why he walks faster then anyone else, His disabler projectile has almost no startup time what so ever and is the most broken move in the entire game. His combos are extremely easy, and everall he is just terribly unbalanced.

Personally, I wish they had either made him the same way they made all the other MK characters in MKT, or else just leave him out of the game. He is by far the worst character in there as far as abuseability.

Far too general.
From a gameplay perspective, some of them are quite good.
Ermac, for example can be a monster.

He is on the select screen for UMK3 for genesis and snes and for MKT.

There was a wavenet version of UMK3 that had a playable Noob Saibot via a code similar to the human smoke code but I think that was the Kano noob saibot, not the uber-broken Noob from UMK3home and MKT.

Actually when you do the Noob code, Kano does turn into the ninja Noob Saibot. Noob's only move found was the Teleport Slam. His combos were realy wierd. One was 3HK. The method of playing as him was like Human Smoke, only it only worked in a 2 Player mode. Start a versus match against anyone and choose Kano. Before the match begins hold Back, High Punch, Low Punch, Block, and Low Kick before the match begins. Kano would explode into the ninja version of Noob Saibot. Remember the code only works in the wavenet versions of UMK3 which are still floating around out there somewhere. It is the one I have in my basement along with my other collectable MK machines. smile

You actually have a Wavenet version of UMK3? Incredible. You've gotta get intouch with Lex and/or someone who can dump the rom data. It's so rare and there aren't any even in Chicago anymore. He knows all about the refitted Wavenet UMK3.

Matt
what exactly is a wavenet ? how does it effect the games and whatnot ???

There are a handful of changes that were made to certain characters here in there in an attempt to balance people. I believe it came out after MKT but I'm not certain, which is why things weren't changed in MKT that were changed in the Wavenet edition.

Ermac's lift counts as a hit of a combo, therefore limiting it's usage slightly, but he's still really deadly in the right hands.

Stryker's gun has a hit limit.

Kabal's spin is given some kind of delay to it, I don't remember exactly.

Sindel's scream might count as a hit of the combo, I really don't remember if Lex mentioned that or not, but it should since that can be pretty broken in the corner or even mid screen.

Noob Saibot is playable.

I don't remember anything else.

Stryker had a gun limit in MKT?
What was it? I remember getting in like atleast 3 or 4 Riot Guns in a combo...

Andy.

God, I fucking hate you all.

I can see how a projectile stealing someones ability to block could be unfair *I completely forgot about THAT Noob-attack*. I never got good with Ermac..I'll have to rectify that in MK:D! In my oppinion..Rain also can be a 'cheaters-choice'..for instance.."continuous lighting strike" is a completely unfair combo. I shouldn't complain though....I'm the one who kept doing it *or use force/rain ball the entire match*
