No. Nothing mentions reptiles survival. Onagas soul is returned, but Reptiles state could vary from comatose to sheer dead. I prefer the latter somehow.

You know i dont want to sound like a groupie but hell why not...

you have to do all the characters PLEASE
off the wall statement, if they reincluded Kahmeleon or even chameleon. Wouldn't reptile's story line change completely? Chameleon never had a story so he's either dead or a blank slate. Kahmeleon on the other claw, has possibilities for a future game. Poor Reptile, battered, bruised, and a little insane if he only could find a way...

I hope Reptile does return and becomes a better. . . reptile.

I think he will survive this Onaga ordeal. When this is over, he will become a better, more intelligent, and stronger Reptile.

I do believe Khameleon is the key to helping to Reptile get back to the way he was before Khan. I would like to know why he joined him in the first place. I don't think Khameleon is dead, maybe just forgotten. And that's a damn shame. I think she has potential and could definately help Reptile's story a bit.

Does anyone think Zaterra and the Vampire Realm are one and the same? Maybe the raptors and vampires co-existed or were rivals in the same realm like the Centaurians, Shokan, and Tatarkans in Outworld. Afterall, the raptors originally came from Earth. This could explain why Nitara had so much information on Reptile and his race. I also believe I read somewhere that Khameleon was mentioned in Nitara's Konquest in MKDA. I would also like for Reptile to find Nitara and kick her ass for using him the way she did. If he can't do it, maybe Khameleon can.

Does anyone think Chameleon gonna be brought back as a raptor and potential rival for Reptile?

I also don't like his MK:SM look. I think that look should be used for a later game. Wasn't Reptile discovered to be a reptilian in disguise after MK2? If so, wouldn't his look in MK:SM contradict that since it takes place between MK1 and MK2?

Great Job!
And yeah, in Sindel's ending, he returns to his human state....not proven alive, but his body is back to its MK2 look. If he survives, that would be a good thing for us human Reptile fans.

Very good character analysis like all the others. Reptile, like Smoke, is a tragic character in the MK series.

It is interesting how Nitara seems to know a lot about Reptile's race through careful studying and all and even gave Reptile the Kirehashi blade. Maybe the vampires and raptors co-existed on Zaterra which would make sense, imo.

I would love to see her and Khameleon return. I hope Khameleon is still alive and that she is in MK7 and tries to save Reptile. Chameleon is simply someone who never had a storyline and I wouldn't want to see him return. There was never a mention as to what kind of person he is, but either way, I don't really care.

I think Reptile is still there someone in Onaga. Onaga tried to shape Reptile's body to resemble him and perhaps if Khameleon were to find Onaga that Reptile can gain some bit of power to struggle control of his body. It would be nice to see a more evolved Reptile return and I don't think him having reptillian features visible in his MKSM look is a good idea. I think Reptile has potential for future MK games and I just hope they do things right with his storyline.

Who is the matriarch anyway? What does she stand for?

Does anyone think that the matriarch may be Khameleon? If so, then once Reptile is reunited with her will he stop de-evolving?

Don't know. In Deadly Alliance all they said was the longer Reptile is away from the matriarch, the more he'll devolve.
I guess the matriarch is/was like the queen Raptor or probably something to that extent.

Cant say about Khameleon, but that could be interesting. Or if she wasn't, then maybe she'll be the new matriarch since the old one is dead.

I was never really much of a Reptile fan, but after reading this analysis, all I've gotta say is...damn! If I were one of the characters in the MK universe, especially someone like Raiden or Sub-Zero, I would really feel sorry for Reptile. Poor thing...always being treated like a pet. And even worse is that Shao Kahn's pretty much got him on a leash like a dog. Trust me, I have four dogs at home, and I would NEVER treat them the way Shao Kahn has treated Reptile. As the saying goes, "they never bite the hand that feeds them." And basically, the hand that feeds Reptile is Shao Kahn, and what Kahn's been feeding Reptile is a bunch of bullshit about the fate of his race. Now, I'm pretty sure Raiden would feel sorry for Reptile. Things would be a LOT better for Reptile had Raiden stepped in and opened his eyes to the truth about Shao Kahn's treatment of his race, and done so as soon as he first laid eyes on this poor soul. But alas, Raiden had Earthrealm to protect, and didn't have much time to worry about how Reptile's been treated, which is pretty sad.

I'd also like to point out that Reptile has THREE possible realms of birth: Earthrealm, Zaterra, and Outworld, as his race originated in Earthrealm, sought refuge in Zaterra as a result of the original war between Shinnok and Raiden, and spent their final years in Outworld, which is where Zaterra has been merged with since Kahn's invasion of that realm. Evidence points to Reptile being born in Zaterra, as Reptile's trading card video in MKD states his origin as "Zaterra." Then again, they probably put that down because that's where his race fled to during the war between Shinnok and Raiden. Now I would NOT be surprised if he were one of the last surviving Raptors that fled to Zaterra (in layman's terms, born on Earthrealm). His true realm of birth is still up in the air.

I don't like using the word de-evolving because Reptile has always had his MKDA look (if you recall when he spit acid to take of his mask or use his tongue it revealed a lizard face) I just consider his MK1-3 look to just be a disguise skin to cover it up, seeing as he has a green reptilian form under his human form skin.

and I liked how the portrayed him in MK4 as being a ruthless killer who was a general of Shinnok's forces.

But in MK:DA they say Reptile devolved in between MK4 and MK:DA. Not even just appearence, but intelligence and emotionally.

Hence in MK4 and before, he had a somewhat humanoid form and some semblence of sanity and intelligence. But in MK:DA he looked full-on lizard and acted like a crazed pet.

I agree he has changed mentally and just lost it, but my theory is Reptile has the ability to control his forms and can go lizard or human when he pleases. for example look at him in MKSM, then look at his alt costume, he has human skin.
