What with both the MK Collector'sEdition/Premium Pack Port of MKI and Midway Arcade Treasures II having some serious flaws, and UMK3-MKGold going unnoticed, I think it's about time we saw a much needed MK Kollections, as handled by the MK Team themselves.

While this alone would kick a fair amount of ass, I propose not only perfect ports of our beloved games, but improvements to the few flaws present in the originals.

Proposals for alterations:

For all games: Gallery/Theater mode where one can view bios, endings, cinemas, etc. Evidently, a save feature for said games. Different costume colors can be selected depending on the button used to pick said character. Also, the ability to choose your arena in each game.

MKI
Playable Reptile, Goro and Shang Tsung via beating the game with regular characters/meeting special requirements. Added endings/bios for said characters. Also, Random Select might be nice.

MKII
Playable Jade, Smoke, Noob Saibot, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn via beating the game with regular characters/meeting special requirements. Added endings/bios for said characters. Also, perhaps the 3 secrets should be given their own moves? As well, that Armory MKII Reptile Fatality glitch could be fixed.

MK3-MKT
Here I propose radical additions/changes. Rather than simply port MK3, UMK3 and MKT seperately, I would like to see them do similar to what Capcom has done with SFII Anniversary edition: Make each character selectable in 3 different modes. Certain dial-a-combos could be added or subtracted between modes for characters who were only present for one or two games to ensure variety. The major additions would be that MK3's mode would have no jump punch combos, and MKT mode would feature an aggressor bar.

Endurance Matches should be turned On or Off in the options menu.

To add serious replayablity value to MK3-T, I would propose having only the initially selectable MK3 roster available to start, and having everyone else available by the use of...you guessed it...Ultimate Kombat Kodes.

With Noob Saibot in particular, his MK3 mode could be the black kano pallette swap. As he lacked special moves, there and in UMK3, those from MKT could be ported over. I'd also highly suggest giving Ninja Smoke his own unique moves. Masked Sub-Zero's MKT mode should be the version of him present in N64 MK Trilogy, while his UMK3 mode could be the one seen in PSX - as far as I remember, he underwent no changes from UMK3 to that version. Rain would require serious alteration between modes, as he only appeared in one game.

Fix those stupid, stupid 100% damage combos.

Regarding the other differences in the N64/PSX Trilogies:

Noob Saibot should have the straight black and shaded looks as player one and two costumes.

Kintaro and Goro should also be included, as well as both Chameleon and Khameleon, as super-secret characters you can fight and unlock. Evidentally, Motaro and Kahn should be, as well. All of these should have only one mode, as they don't really need any more. They should also pop up at times like the MKII characters (and like in the N64 MKT) between random rounds to offer clues on how to fight them.

Let Kahn and Motaro keep their MKT fatalities.

Use the N64 MKT pic of Ninja Smoke for the select screen - looks nicer.

As for MKT PSX's MKI-II versions of Kung Lao, Jax, Kano and Raiden, they should probably be ditched altogether. The MKI characters looked bad compared to UMK3's, at any rate. The only option I can think of would be to have them selectable as bonus characters.

This would be time-consuming, but well worth it: Give all those characters present post MK3 original artwork for their endings, like Scorpion, Jade, Reptile and Kitana got for MKT. Those portal endings were ugly. Give Chameleon, Goro and Kintaro their own bios and endings too, to make them official and whatnot. Same for Motaro and Kahn.

Altered bios so that they're in accordance with MKDA/MKD: Johnny Cage

MK4/Gold

There isn't much I can think of here that needs fixing, apart from the following:

Eliminate Maximum Damage. No one liked it. Improve the move delay for certain specials a tad to the point where such combos are impossible.

Slightly more lag after throws and breakers. For those breakers that leave a character next to you, make them minor-damage combo starters.

Additional Bios and Endings for Noob Saibot and Goro. Give them their own fatalities as well. In Saibot's case, it would be nice to see perhaps Raiden explaining to Sub-Zero who Noob Saibot really is, like MKD sid he did.

Altered bios so that they're in accordance with MKDA/MKD: Cyrax, Sektor, Johnny Cage, Reptile

Extras/Bonuses:

Still galleries, character evolution, so forth.

Soundtrack menu with notes from Dan Forden - I really liked MKD's.

Design notes on stages and so forth.

An MK Plot Canon guide from John Vogel, explaining what did and did not happen in the first four games.

That's all I can think of to make an MK fan's dream come true. Is there anything you guys can think of?

I would wait till PS3 is out then release all the games on one Blueray disc.

This time actually make it arcade perfect, with perfect sprites, sounds, backgrounds music etc. MKT should have perfect sprites, not rips from PSX or N64

The disc should contain

MK1
MK2
MK3
UMK3
MKT
MK4
MKGOLD

Who cares about DA and D, they are shit games made by shit programmers! They need tobais back badly!

they should also add online play. they should also when you unlock the bosses make them be able to be turned on or off. there were some exclusive stages that were in the N64 version of MKT that they could include in there.

I like this idea alot especially the MK3-MKT one, that would be awesome to have it like that!!

But can we really expect Midway to do that??

It would be cool to have a real MK collecion disc that you could play online. The collecion should MK1-MK 4: Gold. Of course arcade perfect. I don't like the idea of having past unplayable characters playable in the game. Seems kind of odd.
