Maybe this is already known but I didn't know about it. Sektor was originally called Sector? Probably his first real name besides his Ketchup alias. If you go to ]{0MBAT's stickied thread here: http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?id=67784
and download the MK The Live Tour Electronic Press Kit, play it to 11:17 for a glimpse at the MK3 game. It shows Sektor fighting Kano but it has Sektor's name spelled as "Sector." Obviously in MK tradition, they changed the "C" to a "K" but did anyone ever notice this or see this before? I don't ever remember hearing about him being named that originally.

I'm sure people have seen this if ]{0MBAT found it. He usually posts things like that to show off to the audience on things we may have not noticed with the game.

But getting back to the original topic, I'm sure it was still in the "under development" phase and there were still changes that needed to be changed. Since MK enjoys changing words that begins with "C" to "K" it's unlikely that he was originally going to be called "Sector."

"Sector" doesn't even look cool to be a name for a cyborg. "Sektor," does.

Apparently this is the SNES version of MK3 so that rules out them originally going to call him "Sector" However, I still don't know how this came to be cuz obviously his name is spelled correctly in the released version of MK3 for SNES. I'm assuming this video is from a version before the actual console release.
His in development name was Ketchup, for any who don't know.

Also, if you're confused about his animality... "Dang ro-bats!"
