hi guys.
this is my first post here, and im not sure if this is the correct place.
some time ago, (probably in 1997, 1998) when i was a kid, i stumbled across a gaming magazine at a news stand. i think at that time mortal kombat trilogy had been released (not sure), and this magazine was talking about secret characters. there was mention of this one secret character, "Pedro". he looked like stryker, but with a mustache and and red and orange palate swap of strykers t-shirt.
i cant remember what the article said but it seemed to be a lot about him (pedro). i cant really remember what version of mortal kombat this was either. if it helps, i remember a screenshot where at the character select screen, (in 8 player kombat) you see all the characters you picked cascaded one in front of the other. i remember the screen shot was of someone who had just selected 4 lui kangs. i made a feeble attempt at looking for any more information on this and came up with nothing. its bugging me now, and i was hoping that someone here may know something.

I don't think I've ever heard of this one.

sorry for bumping this thread. But I think I know what cucumber's talking about. I think I have an image from this spanish gaming magazine somewhere... I think he was on the GB or something.

RIght you are. But this spanish one I am talking about said something different. If someone could find an image, that would be nice. I think I'll try to find one.

Bump: Aha! I found this on an MK Wiki:
Pedro: Pedro was rumored to be in Mortal Kombat 2 and was said to be a Mexican fighter who would fart fire as an attack but it was later proven to be an April Fool's Joke from video game magazines.
Looks like you've got your timeline off, cucumbers!

I would love to see scans of this, if anyone's got 'em or can find 'em.

It's not so simple. Typing in 'MK Pedro' or 'Mortal Kombat Pedro' in Google normally gets you user names from forums.

cucumbers hasn't been on the site in two years since making this thread; you were better off just making a new one.
Normally I'd give you a Skull, but you did contribute to the discussion with on-topic information, so let's just say the DP nullifies the Skull.
