I know people didn't just buy the game for some 'final secret', if you did, it's really your own fault, you could have rented it first.

People bought the game, because they wanted to play Mortal Kombat. If people just base the game around finding secrets or whatever, then it's all pretty much on them, if they bought it and were disappointed.

There never was an official statement from Midway confirming one, so I would guess no.

It was only at fight night that one of them said "I think...".

Umm.. can we say no? What makes you think they 'owe' you anything? The game is already great, secret or not, but the version code IS in there. So if the button combination spoke of unlocks it, there was no 'fraud'.

This really isn't as far fetched as it seems but let me just be the first to say that if said lawsuit does occure I won't be any part of it (I feel I've gotten my moneys worth).

um no, even IF Midway said there was a 'Final Secret', They are not obligated in any way to forfill that. It's there game, you buy it. You can't sue someone over there own product missing a code, or them refusing to release a code, it's there product at the end of the day, you would lose that lawsuit in a heartbeat and be very much out of pocket.

if people are suing McDonalds for making them fat this really isn't as far fetched as it seems. Fact is some people might have bought the game to try and find out the last secret. There is definatly an arguement for something like false advertimesent or misrepresentation of the product.... but anyone who would try and sue them over this is just being a little baby.

um if we sued midway, yes we would have cash but it be a price none of usw would want to pay, mortal kombat will be lost if midway gets sued, so this "lawsuit" about the final secret is as stupid and impossible as me trying to shove my head up my ass and flossing at the same time

yeah, plus the way the trial went is beside the point. like I said, it's still misrepresentation of a product or something. Either way I don't care though. I'm happy with the game... and this is just a dumb idea anyway.

midway never said there was a final secret. they said as far as they know, there is one that hasnt been discovered yet. some ignorant fan read it, and billed it the final secret.

the guy may not have known that the "secret" had already been discovered. hell, he might have been think about something that was supposed to be in the game, but didnt make it.

you people really need to stop calling it the final secret when you yourselfs dont know if it is the final secret, or if ther even is one. this has got to be the biggest joke in mk history. the game is about a month away from being a year old. if there was a secret, it would have been revealed by now. any of you actually call midways hotline? i can assure you its not on there either.

*noob_sareena claps hands to scorpio* i agree with ya scorpio, but thats just me, not everyone has a brain, i mean i dont have mk:da for the ps2 yet, but i have it for the gba, and if ed boon said its for all versions, i would have to think it be for the gba too since i completely finished that game i found no secret except a code name kwikkash and thats it, no final secret, and if there is, i dont mind having another secret for it, but if there isnt, im not taking ed boon to court, and if someone does, im taking my computer screen and jaming it down their throat

theres no case for lawsuit or anything in terms of this it was only suggested that maybe there was one. and sorry for saying this but if u did buy the game just for the final secret ur pretty dumb, u should buy games cos u like them not cos of the secrets there are. now if there was an advertising campaign like "Mortal Kombat.... The Final Secret.. heard the hype? Why Dont You Try and Unveil the Mystery". that would be a stronger case than "i am filing a case of fraud against midway inc. for hinting that there may be a final secret in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance"
