PS2 Mortal Kombat 1 Questions
My main question is how do you all feel about this version? Like it or hate it? I don't know yet.
Anyway are there any secret glitches carried over from the arcade, and is there an easy way to fight Reptile?

So far I haven't encountered any glitches, so hopefully they erased them in the conversion. The Ermac glitch shouldn't be erased though, because it is the most unique way that a character has been invented and part of Mortal Kombat history. The bonus title is a great feature to include and I also love playing the even older classics on Midway's website.

Oh man, this could be the start of an awesome paradoxical storyline for a Sci Fi show.

Oh god... I pray I haven't started the Ermac argument again!
I agree he wasn't in Mortal Kombat, it was just a random word which appeared during gameplay that had something to do with glitches. Midway hadn't decided to transfer the name into a character until Mortal Kombat III, when fans began wondering what it meant. In conclusion: Ermac first appeared in Mortal Kombat III. End conversation!

There wasn't a single breath of truth in that last post.
The word ERMACS appears in the audits of a handful of versions of MK1 to make people think it's something they can access, as in make that number increase, but in fact it is the same thing as Johnny Cage Transformations, Kano Transformations, etc, a joke and nothing more, there is nothing in the game besides the word ERMACS in the audits that has anything to do with the string of letters e-r-m-a-c.
The first time Ermac is referred to in MK as a character is when you beat MKII via the scrambled messages, which should open a lot of peoples' eyes but never does cause of course the MK dev team is lying about that..."ERMAC DOES NOT EXIST" I guess that mean Ermac is in MK1.
Ermac is not in MK "III"

Geez the Ermac discussion must be in every topic by now.
Anyway, not a single one of you can say that Ermac is not in MK1 or MK2 without proof. Without proof its just opinion until the developers say otherwise.
Why is it so hard to believe there is a glitch that turns Scorpion red in MK1?

For me its hard because it means I have to believe there is a glitch that turns Sub Zero pink in UMK3. And a glitch that makes the word "Cheesy" appear before a yellow colored Jax in MK2.

I have a spoiler for everyone, who wants to hear a spoiler...?
Matt
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Ermac is not in MK1, nor is Red Scorpion, it's a joke.

Matt, with all due respect you've still not posted any proof stating that Ermac is not in MK1 or MK2. Until then, you have no right to say so, however if it is your opinion that Ermac is not in those games, then I respect you for it.
No one has came accross a pink Sub Zero. The difference is that Ermac is confirmed.

This is a general post, it's not directed towards any one person, but to the entire sect of Ermac followers out there who might read it. Ermac is not confirmed, I don't have to prove he's not in the game, no one does, but you cannot dismiss that through mathematical dissection of the game, "ERMAC WINS" is NOT located where every other character's "WINS" address is. That is cold hard proof that the EGM magazine was a fake even if you don't think the picture is doctored, because that means they made something happen on the screen that cannot happen by the game's very own definition. It doesn't get any more clear than that. That ends the EGM magazine debate forever, not to mention the ninja isn't even red.
Here is simple way of thinking about the entire concept. Arguement A cannot begin with "X does not exist" if X has never been in question. So that means it started with "X exists". No one can prove that X exists, so in the case, the burden of proof belongs to those who claim X does exist. This can go on until the end of time and never be proven or disproven. So, getting back to the actual matter, the fact is, the only evidence is a fake picture and a fake story, and everything you ever heard about Ermac came around after it, nobody heard of Ermac, or Red Scorpion before the EGM magazine.
So the bottom line becomes this. The EGM Magazine Ermac article being fake is CANON, anyone who disagrees with that is a "newb" even to life. There is nothing anyone can do to say it's real, or has the chance of being real. If you have some other type of evidence beyond that, then you can *begin* to argue that Ermac, or "Red Scorpion" was in MK1. Otherwise, anything you ever heard was born of a lie in the first place, therefore making X = False. There is no opinion to be had, there is no grounds for debate.
I can't believe how naive people still are to this day, almost 13 years after the fact, still believing lies about a video game no one cares about anymore, and moreso, I can't believe I still have to tell people it's a lie.

No, he's not actually. And if you follow the idea that there must be proof showing that every made up story is fake to believe its fake then you have to believe that pink sub zero, or Sub Pepto as I call him, exists. As does a version of Kano in UMK3 whose bottom half is swapped with a female ninjas, giving him long flowy legs.
