Question about MK3 Sound Effects

In some of the Deception videos, it shows gameplay from MK3, and the sound effects sound very weird.

Which version of the game are they showing?

I think for some of them, the Sindel one atleast, they used clips from MK Trilogy for PSX (PS1), where the music is pitched a few semi tones lower and so are some of the grunts, groans, screams, etc

That would make sense. They used images and clips of MKT for PSX when advertising MK3 on MAT a few times as well so they obviously don't mind using MKT for stuff.
