ok so i haven't played this game sense i was 17 and actually owned a ps1. i recently bought it again but don't have the ps1 anymore. i didn't think it would be an issue but when i beat the game the screen simply goes black. Only thing i could find online about it was a reported glitch saying that if the ps1 ver is played on the ps2 this will always happen. seems the same goes for ps3. anyone know a way around this?

Sadly there is no work around on this issue. This issue will also happen if you die and let the timer go to 0 on the Game Over screen. The only known cure is to play it on a Playstation 1 console. Hopefully if they release this on PS4 they will release a fixed version for those who still love this game, myself included. Other fixes would be to play the Saturn version if you have that or get the PC version if you have the patch. The PC version adds blood to the Baraka Impale Fatality that both Saturn and Playstation didn't have. Also the graphics to me looked better on the PC version but that is just my opinion. You can still play MKT on PS2 and PS3 but you can't choose any treasures of Kahn or loose or you will have to reset your system.

Deja Vu. Is this message from me 6 years ago? It's always been like that. I had this issue with PS2 years ago. I have a few different versions of MKT discs, same result. Just buy a PS1.
MKT on PS3 always locks up when I pick unmasked Sub-Zero and get to the Kano fight.
