Now you couldn't play as Noob Saibot in the arcade, but you could on MKT/home versions of UMK3 etc. In MK3 it was just a black Kano. In UMK3 it was properly a black ninja.
1. When you fought Noob in MK3 what moves did he have?
2. When you fought Noob in UMK3 what moves did he have? I mean in home versions when you could play as him he had all kinds of moves, cheap cheap moves like the make-you-powerless ball and the shadow throw etc.. did he have these in the arcade version?
3. Was Rain EVER fightable in the arcade? Or was the only significant Rain thing just in that one intro movie?
I heard in a prototype UMK3 game (Does anyone know if this one is available via Mame?) you could play as Noob by selecting Kano and doing a code. Was this version just the black kano or a black ninja?

Saturn version was like a translation of the Arcade UMK3, but any other version, although not as good, i.e. SNES, Genesis, both contained Rain and Noob as playable characters. Noob had his cloud projectile which made it so that the opponend could not hit you or block from your attacks for temporary time, he had a teleport where he catches and throws you. And he had a nove where he sends a clone of himself at the enemy and it throws them. That's my report.

In MK3 he is an all black Kano. Shao Kahn says "Kano wins" and "You suck." I believe when you lose, and maybe other things. He takes normal damage.
In UMK3 is an all black Ninja, it says "It's official you suck" when you lose, and he takes boss damage.
In MK3 and UMK3 Noob Saibot has no moves.

Arcade UMK3 Noob is a black ninja. Saturn UMK3 is a black Kano.
The prototype version of UMK3 that has noob playable is the Wavenet version. It came out AFTER the regular version. It never had a nation wide release. Noob was a black ninja and his only move was the teleport.

The reason why it never went nationwide was because only Wavenet accessible machines could use the modified version. Otherwise it played exactly like regular UMK3 because it had to have that option in order to even be released. No one on here will probably ever play the actual modified version unless you get two wavenet machines and network them, or someone dumps the rom data from the card and then hacks that data to allow it to just be playable as is. I really wish I could have been there when this all went down. =(
