Well, it depends on what version of MKT you have. Some secret characters, including Chameleon, appear before a match starts and give you hints on how to unlock them. For the playstation version of MKT, there is a ninja named Chameleon that can mimic the moves of all the male ninjas. For the N64 version of MKT, there is a ninja called Khameleon that mimics the moves of the female ninjas.

You have to tell us what version of MKT you have. Then your question could be answered.

sounds like he has the n64 version. the ps and ss versions didnt have characters that appeared before fights. i also noticed he said "key"...so it may be the pc version.

Yuppers, it's the PC version. Anyway it must have been ported either from PSX or N64 IMHO ^_^

Are you saying about Dan Forden? He just appears and say "Toasty" (and "Frosty" when you are in danger and is freeze by Sub-Zero)

Well. Frosty didn't exist in Trilogy. He appear and says nothing.

Nothing happens when he appears, that is it.

oh tnx for clearing that out for me. anyways, I'd like to know how to pick chameleon on MKT for PC. I've tried the hp hk blk rn + back, and hp lp + back before the game - on a male ninja, but it won't work.
is there another way, or maybe I'm just doing it all wrong?!

it`s ease really... You pick up a male ninja, and after vs screen (or before i don`t remember) you hold hp+lp that`s all :D

I still don't have access to Chameleon in PC version.

The question is. When I have to hold Back + HP + LP?

- right after I choose a male ninja
- in the VS Screen
- before Round 1 Fight

Okay I've managed to get Chameleon.
When you pick a male ninja hit HP + LP right away. Or for better, pick a ninja pushing those two keys. And you'll get your ninja transformed into Chameleon on the beginning of the battle.

The N64 version does have Toasty in it, and is needed to access the female Khameleon in that game. When he pops up on the Star Bridge stage, press Down + Start, and you'll go to the Living Forest to fight Khameleon.
