1. How is it possible to perform Random Select? Up + START simply pauses the game.
2. Likewise, pressing Down + START to attempt to access Smoke on the Portal stage when Dan Forden pops up pauses the game. How can Smoke be fought?

MK3 Questions
1. The Random Select also does not seem to work on this version. The manual for the PS2 version says it's Up + X, but that doesn't seem to work. I've tried Up + every possible combination, but nothing will allow this feature.
2. Like MK2, has anyone hacked or cheated to play as Noob Saibot, Motaro, or Shao Kahn?
3. In the credits for MK3, it lists characters such as Reptile, Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena, Jade, et cetera, that were not available until UMK3. What's the deal with that?
