Not sure what to make of the Ultra part. An intentional name change to reflect a subtly different COUGH-WAVENET-COUGH version? Or a spelling mistake because nobody outside of like 100 people care about UMK3...yet?

Ultra os probably short for ultimate, but where di the 'R' come from. Similar to mega, we all know it stands for super-awesome-cowabunga.

That would be cool if the 'Ultra' was intentional. I kinda like that as a title...though if they're gonna do that then it should be Mortal Kombat 3 Ultra.

My guess is it's a mistake.

Also, is it me or are the graphics enhanced? The background looks more detailed, but that may be the monitor it's playing through.

Apparently a major theme of the conference was "LIVE Anywhere" - some new way of synchronizing your Live account with Xbox 360, Windows Vista, and mobile phones. With this setup, someone playing Halo 2 on Windows Vista could be in a match against Xbox 360 users.

So what I wanna know NOW is... will the Live Arcade go cross-platform? I would be so stoked if I could just upgrade windows, buy UMK3, keep my current keyboard-emulating joystick, and eliminate my need for a 360.

Wouldnt that be awesome though to play on mame and yet be playing agaist someone on the 360 lol would be ironic.I dont like the cross server idea though cause ppl on their computer can cheat easier then on a console.

It wouldn't be MAME though. It would be a dedicated, official program for UMK3. That would be the beauty of it.
