Does it feel good to have three fakes...?

I really don'tsee how the first 2 have any significance what so ever...

The first would be significant since Rain wasn't playable in UMK3 for the arcade, but he's just not in there as a playable character. His name isn't even in there as a normal character name, which is why its a different font from the other character energy bar names.

The second has no significance because Noob Saibot is playable in UMK3 in Mame and has been for a while now.

And the third has no significance because, as MK2KB mentions, its a fake...that he made.

Funny thing I just noticed about the Rain pic...
Reptile is P2 color Reptile. So I guess they did reptile vs reptile and recolored P1 as Rain. That seems stupid. They stuck the dead give away in the picture itself...

lol I actually found that last pic somewhere before, so I just thought I would post it. However, I do have some of "Ermac" that I took myself during gameplay that are in no way edited, if any would like to see.

The reason for this topic was not to post fakes, but genuine images, which is what all of these are. The reason for the second pic of Noob Saibot, was because I remember reading through some old posts where some people said he wasn't a playable character, only fightable.

Trust me, I'm a HUGE MK fan and love everything about it. The older games still grab my interest and probably always will, which is why I have come here to share any useful information I can, whether it be true or not.

Any questions you guys have about the game just hit me up, because I know there are a lot of people out there who don't know everything about MK and ask general questions. I'm not saying I know everything there is, but I'm just letting you guys know I'm here for any help you may need.

Didn't they use a code to get rain for the rain sprites at Mortalkombatwarehouse.com? That's probably they way he got the picture.

No, they just recolored a ninja. There was never any code to play as Rain. There isn't even a Mame cheat for it yet (but there will probably be one eventually that just creates a purple pallet to use).

Changing ninja color pallets for fakes is really easy

Here's some more. All the images are from arcade versions, including the ones I posted earlier.

If you look at Rain's lifebar, his letters aren't Italicized, like everyone elses.

Rain's font in UMK3 wasn't italicized like everyone else's, it was mainly just BOLD which is why it looks like that. However in the console versions this was fixed to fit the look of the other character names.

Yup, I would guess that since the Rain thing was just a hack in to the attraction mode they didn't want to mess around with creating another palleted graphic like the name in the energy bar (since its not stored as text, its stores as a picture). So, they created it in solid white because if they tried to italicize they'd either have to create a pallet to anti-alias the edge of the text a bit (like how it is for all the other characters), or leave it all white and it would look like crap. Either that or this was like a 10 minute hack that they just wanted to get in there so they made a 1 color version of his name in paint or something

Red Alert. Lame. Save picture and view it on your computer, or drag the image to the webpage window's title bar in IE, when you see the little + in a box come up, drop it and you will see the full image.

Yeah it does. The shadow is part of the text. If the only time that shadow is missing is when somone posts a controversial screen shot to a forum it pretty much means its the result of a hacked up picture.

This pic isn't real,it's a fake made by Kungbroken,it was discussed and beaten to death that Ermac never was and never will be in MK1in any shape or form,in fact,the Rain picture it's a fake too as you can see,he was only in the attraction mode of UMK3 and nothing else,only the Noob Saibot pic could count as legit,but only if someone could have taken that pic from a Wavenet UMK3 machine,something that i dont believe at all.

I'm talking about Aracade Versions only.
