Okay. I know that Shang Tsung's Pit Fatality on MKII is Down, Down, Up, and finally Down, and it works every time I do it on the Pit II, yet when I try to do it on the Kombat Tomb, it never works. Does anyone know what's going on? Or has anyone successfully done it another way?

Be sure to hold block with a fatality that involves pressing up.

I bet trynax you have SNES version of MK2, because I couldn't get it to work in the Kombat Tomb either, but did work on the Pit2, but I never had this problem on the Genesis & 32X version, maybe they forgot the program it in, like in UMK3 for SNES, they change Ermac's second fatality coding and no one knows what it is.

Now that you mention it, I vaguely remember there being some issue with Shang's stage Fatality. Could just be my imagination though... wish I could help you more! But that problem does sound strangely familiar to me, I just can't put my finger on it!

It does not work in the tomb in the arcade version.

I think i read somewhere that Shang doesn`t even have the Tomb fatal! It makes sense because he has 3 regular fatalities....

yep its weird, but it doesnt work on Kombat Tomb stage
That is funny. It works on the SNES, Sega, Sega 32X, and Sega Saturn, yet it does not work on MAME, Arcade, or MAT2. The Pit does work on the Pit II though. But you have to morph into someone else to do a Tomb Fatality rather than use his own. I was more generally speaking of MAT2, and Arcade, and MAME here though.

It's safe to assume it was just an oversight in the arcade version... makes sense that they would fix it for the console ports.
