On the IGN Treasure of the Day, on the Mortal Kombat 3 video, it shows Rain fighting! This is really getting on my nerves! Does anyone know what the real deal is???

Second, It is, but we don't know their sourced, I could take a bunch of screenshots and then say "This is from another game ,use it on your site." I guess.

In all honesty, it IS false advertising now, because the game is being mass produced right? It's in the final stages and games are fully working, so up until then, it was a WIP like Quirk stated in another thread. We (the smarter people) have always known it was going to be MK3, but the mere fact that anything BUT MK3 was ever shown is wrong. Now that the disc is done, and there is only MK3 on it, and they STILL show clips from MKT, it's false advertising. It's not such a serious offense, but it's still falsely and intentionally displaying a product that of which will not be delivered. There's no way anyone can argue that, it's a fact. But I've said it many times before, I'm not going to buy it so it doesn't matter to me. It's just a shame how many people there are who will think it's going to be something better than MK3, and when it's not, they are out of luck.

You people are still soooo off
false advertising would be, a print ad that says
"This game is guaranteed to include MK2, MK3 and UMK3!"
false advertising would NOT be
"This game to include MK1, MK2, MK3 and UMK3. Actual game content is subject to change and will be marked so on the package"
"This game to include MK2, MK3" and to the side you see a pic that shows an MKT screenshot.
False advertising is something companies use with the intent to get you to buy something with the knowledge the consumer won't get it.
If they told you "This game comes with UMK3" in print, and it doesnt, then ya thats false advertising but they never ever ever ever ever said UMK3 was coming with the game.
You guys are just so god damn nitpicky

Actually, I'm one of the few people that want just the original MK 3 on MAT 2. If UMK 3 was on there in place of the original MK 3, I would be dissapointed. And why are you not buying it MK2KungBroken?

I wish I knew where those vids came from. I mean the official midway page has always said MK3, and it shows screen shots of MK3 for the arcade, that simple. I wouldnt be suprised if the MK team made the vids just to cause more controversy.
And the screenshots used in Midways page even show the level of devo they are at. Little things are missing here and there in MK3, like the Win counter and stuff like that. Weird.

I felt like MK3 was more subtle, like they didn't go TOO crazy with pallete swaps and stuff. Meh, I just like it because it was THE first REAL mortal kombat game I ever played, and I want to capture that feeling again. But I can still do that for Genesis or PS1 if I wanted to. But this is arcade version! Most games don't get better than the arcade.

I love the ninjas, I do. And I'd love to see UMK3, but like I said, I want it to be MK3 for personal reasons, it was the first real MK game I ever played.

i want mk3 as well. i want the story along with the pictures, and mk3 just gets me more nastalgic (i couldnt wait to play mk3 and was so excited when i was doing so, umk3 just didnt have the same effect). i think its mk3 cause i think gamespot said something about it having 15 characters in the MAT 2. by the way, how were the games on the first MAT, were they arcade perfect or were there things wrong with them?
It's MK3 on the disc. This could turn into a flame war like that other thread did. I'll gladly settle for MK3, but I'm mainly getting MAT2 for MK2 and Primal Rage, albeit NARC, Total Carnage, Championship Sprint, and Pit Fighter all look good.

I never said I wouldn't buy the game if MK 3 wasn't on there, this is one of my most wanted games of the year.

You're right. It can't be anything other than MK3, the footage of the ninjas in VERY unreliable. Everyone was like "Rain is in it" well he wasn't in UMK3 the arcade and saturn versions. This isn't Midway SNES/Genesis Treasures, lol.
