Ok this has been bugging me for a long time and now im going to address it.....Everytime someone dies in mortal kombat they usualy come back and look the same(no scrapes bruises or anything)...but when liu kang died they ressurected him and he looked like a freakin ZOMBIE!!! i know that he looked normal in the ending but when you played him in MK:D he was a ZOMBIE and in the renderization of MK:A HES A ZOMBIE!!!.....now the question is why? didnt cage die off what about baraka or quan chi....why didnt liu go to the netherrelm? Maybe i missed something or im not getting something whatever it is could you explain please?

Read Liu Kang's MKD bios carefully. His corpse was reanimated. He isn't fully resurretced. Only his corpse is intact and it is wonderign around killing people. Liu Kang's soul/spirit is not within his body and he needs to unite with his body to fully restore himself and gain control of his body. I would assume upon doing so, he'll be fully human once more and his body won't look as dead.

lol yea i saw the bio but on the rendition of MK:A hes still dead looking....why?
cause they used the MK:DA and MK:D renders for all the applicable characters...
Also, Baraka, Johnny Cage, and anyone else you thought died, didn't. Cage has been ret-coned as having never deid, baraka was nearly killed by Kung Lao's hat, etc. The only exceptions are those who have died and have not been brought back yet (and they will probably also not have died.)
This is all storyline wise.

What do you mean Cage was retconned as never having died? Maybe I missed something but I thought that yes, he dies inbetween MK2 and MKT, comes back in MKT, goes on to the afterlife, then gets resurrected in MK4, gets killed again in DA, and is resurrected again a short time later (along with the other heroes who died) by Onaga.
I honestly can't remember anything retconning all that.

Me neither. Wasn't he brought back by Raiden from Heavens.

That's what I thought. He moves on to the afterlife after helping to stop Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm, then asks Raiden to restore him back to life in order to help fight Shinnok in MK4.

John Vogel was the one who said in an interview that Johnny Cage never died,so his death was retconned.

How stupid. I hope Vogel is gone after this game as his writing for this story so far (I know he's been at Midway for awhile but I'm going to assume he didn't start heading the writing until DA) has been atrocious.

Yes, those deaths were part of one of Johnny's movies. The Death of Johnny Cage. Needless to say, it bombed at the box office.

Didnt the story for cage in MK:3U-MK:T have something to do with the fact that cage DID indeed die and was wondering aimlessly in the netherrealm and when Kahn invaded earth he ripped a portal in the netherrelm enabeling Cage to gain his body and cheat death as it was put in the story.....i could have sworn i have seen that somewhere

when he died his spirit floated to the heavens but the heavens was being controlled by the outworld gods and i think raiden brought him back to life.

Kind of. In MKT, he had died after the second tournament (Kahn's Extermination Squads I think). He was on his way to the afterlife but the merger of Earthrealm and Outworld prevented him from actually getting there, so his soul reunited with his body and he helped out against Kahn's invasion, taking his place in the afterlife afterwards.

yeah he was slain by the extermanation squads. But he went out like a puss in MK Annialation FINISH HIM!

GAHHHH....lol....i didnt like the second movie i thought it was just a low budget poorly made movie....im talkin about game wise....

i know that his neck was broken and what not and i know that his soul really didnt return to him during MK:D untill the ending....but the rendition of him in the screenshot for MK:A still showed him dead......WHY!!!!!!
