This is all **Assuming**

Assuming Kitana remembered her mother Sindel.

Sindel = Edenian face

Kitana knew how she looked; there must be mirrors in Edenia.

Kitana = also Edenian

There was no doubt for Kitana she was the daughter of Sindel.
I suppose everyone agree on this..

Now my point is.

If Shao Kahn ever removed his skull helm during the more or less 10 000 years he made believe Kitana he was his father, she would have seen his face.

--- assuming Shao Kahn has this face ---

If she really trusted him and thought he was her real father, then Kitana might have believed Mileena was her true sister when she grew up. Kitana would be thinking: "We both share traits of our parents, maybe I look more like my mother, and Mileena looks more like my father."

Either Kitana thought of herself as the most beautiful
or she thought her father's race was to be respected and Mileena was proudly bearing his features more or less...

This is only speculation. I do not believe it is the truth, but I think it could be possible.

Mileena never was angry about her face. At least she doesn't seem so to me in Deception's konquest.

*Quoting Mileena*
"Do not underestimate me because I am beautiful"

And she also says proudly:

"...Us the Tarkatans..."

meaning she isn't ashamed of her 'tarkatan features'.
If you read her bio, she doesn't speak as if she was ashamed.
What we know is that she does know, by the time of Deception, that she's the creation of Shang Tsung's sorcery. Whether she knew it at birth, a little later or recently isn't important, because that doesn't mean she would've told Kitana. She is loyal to Shao Kahn in a first place: she was meant to be a more violent and loyal Kitana... Actually, what I love about Mileena, is that she's no one of her own, she's just a hybrid of two already existing person.

And about Baraka... I always thought people who said Mileena felt lonely and Baraka was the only one to understand her was pretty lame imo.
Baraka is said to be the leader of the Tarkatans. He must be leading some tarkatans. Mileena probably felt as the most beautiful takatan of all, in the same way Kitana felt as very beautiful.

I don't really understand the whole "kahn's not my father" thing. I get that part itself but there's no info on who her real father could be.

Its's never been clear on what Kahns race was or if he was actually human. I'm trying to remember if it was non human in MKSM.

Mileena is half Tarkatan and it was never clear as to when she was made. Apparently it was MK2 time and I always wondered how Kitana could call her a sister when she was just created at that time which wasn't long ago. I don't know if that was ever fully explained.

As for Kitana, whether or not she saw Kahns face throughout that time is a good question. If he was non human, then surely she'd have questioned how she looked normal.

I guess these are all gaps in the story they have yet to cover.

Those are some very interesting points.

I honestly don’t know what the answer is. There are many plot wholes in the story, I guess the team never thought the story of Mk would be so great, that us (the fans) would dare to explore and explore and even add more depth to it then they do in the games and the rest of the franchise (comics, movies, books, etc).

Shao Kahn was originally supposed to be a Tarkatan, the main Tarkatan for that matter in Mk2, but the idea of having all new characters tarkatan like was scrapped so it was never clear where Kahn stood.

Im sure his race is a combination of others though, maybe a God so corrupted by evil that he was deformed, a Tarkatan born with special abilities, a demon sorcerer from beyond. Anything is possible.

I actually like to think that Mileena feels partially ashamed of herself, but also that she shows this strong side of her by maybe “pretending” to be proud. Those were some good points Yin, great analysis on the situation.

My guess is that we will never truly know, so much depth isn’t really explained in Mk.

If anyone has that info, it would be cool to know.
Yet, MKSM isn't canon. But this could give us a good indication of wheat Midway wants him to be.

Yeah, Kahn looks like somewhat of a deity, or demon/tarkatan related creature. I wouldn't be surprised if he was of the same kind as Raiden.

Hey Dave101, Kitana's real father is King Jerrod who was the King of Edenia) but when Shao Kahn invaded Edenia,he killed Jerrod and SIndel killed herself. Kitana's Daddy-O is King Jerrod.
