I always thought of Sonya as a lieutenant in the US Army. While writing my fan fiction I found to be lacking in some info in regards to this character's military career. Was she a 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant or Lieutenant Colonel in the early games? And what was her rank in the later (MK4-MK:DA) games?

I even check her bio from MK:DA but it didn't give her any rank but 'agent'. Her ending, which has proven false, had her being promoted to General. Skipping at least one rank or more. Same goes for MK4 bio...no mention of her rank. Any ideas what her rank was at the beginning of MK:DA?

Same goes for Jax. There is no mention of his rank in his bio of MK:DA. However, in his MK4 bio he was listed as a Major. (Mighty big jump from Sargent)

If I can assume that Jax is still a Major....then is Sonya is either Lt. Colonel or Colonel in MK:DA? Or is there something that I missed or forgotten? (Loaned out my MK games to a friend and have yet to get them back...*omnious clicking sound* but I will.)

I want to keep my fan fic as close to the characters canon histories as possible but still keep the story interesting. For example I'm bringing in Ret. Major Herman and Mrs. Erica Blade into the story. Let's just say the Major doesn't like Johnny too much....
