You have to be sub zero and fight anybody. on the second match, keep hitting the opponent with the light punch button until his health is very low, but not to the point were it says danger. Now freeze your opponent and freeze yourself. Notice how the opponents life bar decreases by a small amount. Keep freezing the enemy until the enemie is frozen..but the screen should say FINISH HIM.
Now do sub-zero's fatality. When he smashes the frozen body, the opponent should still be alive and well. Congradulations. Youve preformed the first fatality ever that doesnt kill the opponent.

What version of MK1 is this, I can do a Fatality to the frozen body by comboing a freeze, but even if they are in ducking frames they automatically stand up and the body stays blue.

I dont know if it works on the arcade version, but If you do it correctly, the Ice and stuff should be on the floor, but your opponent should still be standing there.

Wasn't that Sub-Zero's fatality in the SNES version anyway, or did he normally do something to shatter the body?

on SNES if you did his fatality he jumped back and froze them, jump forward and gave them a head shot and they break. I'm guessing this can only be done on the SNES version. I'll try it out later.

Yes. SNES is the only version that has that shatter fatality.

Genesis has two. With the blood code off he does a super uppercut that knocks them off screen. With the blood code on he rips their head off.

Speaking of the no blood code thing, you NEVER see people talk about the alternate Genesis fatalities. I always thought it was cool it had them, even though they were lame. WTF was Kano pulling out instead of a heart? Its like grey...

Supposedly there are alternate Fatalities that are dormant in the arcade version of MK, I believe someone mentioned it here a long long time ago. I believe it was stated that in the coding for Fatalities there is more than one instance for each character.

It makes me wonder because there is a MvSF combo video where Dan does a 100% damage super with his Dankuukyaku, it seems legit, but it could have been hacked in some way. Perhaps it's the same concept.

In the SNES version, Sub's Ice Ball did a small amount of damage. Which allows for this well known glitch fatal.
