If Raiden is so powerful, why hasn't he won any of the Mortal Kombat tournaments?

There has only been one tournament in which Rayden participated, and he wasn't that powerful in the tournament because he had to lower his powers in order to participate.

Precisely. If Rayden fought in his godly form at the tournament he would easily beat anyone; Goro, Shang, Liu, Scorpion, Subzero etc. etc.

Raiden knows he's the best, but he doesn't want to show off beacause he's a god or ex-god? whatever and he needs to set an example to other fighters to do there best when the real motto is fight and survive or die!!!!
