Hey all, I'm currently writing a storyline of MK, but aside from adding the information that we all know, I'm also adding some stuff to what I think could've occured or just put in there for the sake of expanding the classic MK game's story. (Something Shaolin Monks failed to do)
Part 1: The Elder Gods and the One Being
Near the beginning of time, there existed only two beings: The Elder Gods and the One Being. The One Being, in its arrogance, foolishly declared war on the Elder Gods. After a long war, the One Being was defeated, the Elder Gods separated the One Beings conscious into 6 Kamidogu, which were used to create the realms, each Komidogu was appointed to a God to guard and keep safe. Millions of years passed and peace reigned as existence dawned.
Part 2: The War Against Shinnok
In the realm of Earth, the Elder Gods appointed the Thunder God known as Raiden to protect it from harm, when Raiden was still a young guardian, one of the Elder Gods became corrupt, and his name was Shinnok. Banished from his post as an Elder God, Shinnok attempted to take Earthrealm for himself. This brought him into conflict with Raiden. A war was waged between Raiden and Shinnok for control of Earthrealm, Raiden was fighting a losing war, as Shinnoks magic amulet was becoming too much for the Thunder God to handle. Forced to choose between destroying the budding civilization of Zaterran and handing Earthrealm to Shinnok, Raiden choose the former and taking Shinnoks amulet from him, banished the former Elder God to the Netherrealm.
Part 3: Outworld
In the realm of Outworld, its emperor Onaga, The Dragon King, desired immortality and ordered his priests to create a dragon egg, hoping that a young dragons blood would grant him immortality, however one of his chief advisors Shao Kahn, desired Outworld for himself. He poisoned Onaga and then took the throne for himself. Perhaps under influence from the One Being, Shao Kahn desired to add the realms and merge them with Outworld. The first on his list: the realm of Edenia. Shao Kahn invaded Edenia and challenged its King, Jerrod to Mortal Kombat. Jerrod fought valiantly, but Shao Kahn took his life and then merged Edenia with Outworld, he took Jerrods wife Sindel for his own and also their daughter, Kitana, who was an infant, an Edenian known as Rain lost his father when Shao Kahn invaded Edenia, though he did not know that it was because of Shao Kahn. Sindel, not wanting to live her life as Shao Kahns wife committed suicide, this act caused her to descend to the Netherrealm.
Part 4: The War for the Netherrealm
Shao Kahn went on to add many more realms to Outworld, which included the vampire peoples realm. During this time, Shinnok was tormented in the Netherrealm, until one day the sorcerer known as Quan Chi approached him and offered him freedom if he would include him in his eventual conquest of the realms, Shinnok agreed and together they plotted to overthrow the ruler of the Netherrealm, Lucifer and now once again Shinnok fought for the control of a realm, but this time, he was successful. Shinnok overthrew Lucifer and became ruler of the Netherrealm.
Part 5: The Mortal Kombat tournament
Raiden became aware of Shao Kahns activities and vowed to protect Earth from the evil Emperor, approaching the Shaolin Monks, a tournament was created known as Mortal Kombat which would protect Earthrealm from Shao Kahns wrath, provided Earthrealms warriors would be victorious, Raiden also entrusted the Shaolin with the Map of Elements, which was the only way to find where Shinnoks amulet was hidden. The sorcerer known as Shang Tsung, a native of Earthrealm, had one day angered the Elder Gods, and as punishment, cursed him with the requirement to consume souls to maintain his youth, otherwise he would rapidly age. He saw the Mortal Kombat tournament as a means to maintain his youth and sought to take control of the tournament from the Shaolin.
Shang Tsung killed many opponents as he made it to the final round of the tournament where he faced the Shaolin Monk, Kung Lao. Kung Lao defeated Shang Tsung and became the Champion of Mortal Kombat. Kung Lao spared Shang Tsungs life, who disappeared and vanished without a trace.
There we go, next part coming soon which covers the Red Dragon and Black Dragon as well as the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu. Hope you liked it!

Part 6: Sisters
For 50 years, Kung Lao was the champion of Mortal Kombat, as champion he would not age. Meanwhile the sorcerer Shang Tsung had begun to age rapidly; he was captured by Outworlds forces and taken to Shao Kahn, who told him to take control of the Shaolins tournament so that he could merge it with Outworld. Shang Tsung would train the Prince of Shokan, a four-armed cross between a dragon and a human creature named Goro to one-day defeat Kung Lao. Meanwhile Kitana grew up to be a loyal daughter and assassin and became best friends with Jade. However Shao Kahn feared that Kitana may one day turn on him and told Shang Tsung to construct a clone of Kitana, who would take her place, using the blood of an Outworld race called Tarkatan, Kitanas clone was created, but with one major flaw, she retained the hideous mouth of a Tarkatan. Rather than waste a near-perfect clone, she was given a veil to cover her hideous teeth and the name Mileena to serve as Kitanas lost twin sister.
Part 7: Goro
At the time of the next tournament, Shang Tsung returned to Earthrealm with Goro and challenged Kung Lao for the title of champion. Kung Lao battled long and hard, but eventually fell to Goros might. Shang Tsung then absorbed the soul of the man, who spared his life half a century ago. Shang Tsung then seized control of the tournament from the Shaolin; the first victory for Outworld was in place.
Part 8: Shujinko and the Komidogu
For 500 years, Goro reigned as champion of Mortal Kombat. Every warrior that came before him fell to his might. An Outworld native named Bo Rai Cho, who despised Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung, traveled to Earthrealm to train warriors to defeat Shang Tsung and Goro, however Bo Rai Cho himself could not compete as if he had won, it still wouldve been a victory for Outworld. In an Earthrealm village, a boy named Shujinko desired to defeat Shang Tsung and one day was visited by a spirit named Damashi, who said he was a messenger of the Elder Gods, he told Shujinko that he had been chosen to be the Elder Gods Champion. Shujinko eagerly accepted and was granted the ability to harness the power of other warriors. Shujinko trained with Bo Rai Cho until he grew up and Damashi told Shujinko of his task, he was to find the 6 Komidogu and bring them to the Nexus, Shujinko then started on a quest that would take 60 years to complete.
Part 9: The Red Dragon and Black Dragon
The crime organization known as the Red Dragon had existed for centuries operating under stealth and secrecy. Several members grew dissatisfied with this style and broke off and formed their own organization: the Black Dragon, which was founded by Morhei Ueshiba, who founded Aikido. The Red Dragon made it their mission to wipe out the Black Dragon.
Part 10: The Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu
A Chinese cult known as the Lin Kuei had operated for centuries, they are a clan of Chinese ninja, operating as paid assassins. One such Link Kuei assassin named Takeda grew dissatisfied with the Lin Kueis cowardly ways and escaped to Japan, where he formed the first ninja clan: the Shirai Ryu. In his elder years, Takeda succumbed to poison in his tea, no doubt implanted by a Lin Kuei assassin.
Each assassin was given code names, one that passed on to generation after generation Sub-Zero, the man who had currently held that title married an American women and lived in the United States for a while and had two sons and a daughter. Against the will of the mother, the father took the two brothers to China where they both became members of the Lin Kuei.
In the Shirai Ryu, after one member retired, having regretted what he had done in his life, forbade his son Hanzo Hasashi from joining as he did not want for his son to live his life as an assassin, but Hanzo wanted to provide his wife and child with the most comfortable life possible, thus he was forced to join. He was given the code name Scorpion and became a master of shuriken.

Sorry another error: the great Kung Lao lost around 500 years ago, yes? Now, that means 1450-1500 in our calendar. Kitana is 10.000 years old. How in the hell did she grew up? She was already an adult if we consider OUtworld has the same timeline (most possibly)
0
^Well, we know Mileena had to have been created some time before Shang Tsung took control of the Mortal Kombat tournament, by this time Kitana was an adult, but Shang Tsung created Mileena, who was then said to be Kitana's "lost" twin sister as in meaning Kitana never knew she had one. As Jax said in Shaolin Monks when asked to how long he's been in Outworld. "Time is different in this realm."

Part 11: Kenshi's mission
A lone warrior named Kenshi had traveled throughout Earth, searching for warriors to battle. One day, he came across an old man named Song who revealed to him information about an ancient sword, Song tempted Kenshi that this sword would make him an even better fighter, Kenshi took the bait as Song led him to an ancient structure. Deep inside, Kenshi came across a large stone and told the sword lay within, he removed the lid, suddenly a blast of souls shot forth and physically blinded him, Song then revealed himself to be Shang Tsung and devoured all the souls and left Kenshi to die. However the sword did exist and when Kenshi picked it up, he found that it led him out of the tomb; Kenshi was told by the sword that those spirits were his ancestors, and Kenshi vowed that he would free them from Shang Tsung.
Part 12: Mythologies, Part 1: Scorpion and Sub-Zero
Shao Kahn had Shang Tsung conspire with Quan Chi, who was searching for Shinnoks amulet to free the fallen Elder God from the Netherrealm. Shang Tsung would provide Quan Chi, the location of the Map of Elements, which held the location of the amulet. In return, Shinnok would assist in reviving Sindel. Quan Chi hired two ninjas to obtain the Map of Elements from the Shaolin: Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei and Scorpion of the Shirai Ryu. Inside the temple, Scorpion and Sub-Zero met and fought for possession of the map, Sub-Zero came out the victor. Scorpion pleaded for mercy, but it was brutally refused as Sub-Zero tore off his head and spine. With the map in hand, Sub-Zero returned to Quan Chi.
Part 13: Mythologies, Part 2: The Sacred Amulet
Quan Chi was quite pleased with Sub-Zeros skill and hired him again, but this time to obtain the sacred amulet inside a mystical fortress. Sub-Zero accepted and with the Map of Elements headed out on his mission. Quan Chi, out of gratitude for the Lin Kuei, killed the Shirai Ryu and then Scorpions family.
Hanzo Hasashis soul descended into the Netherrealm, but found his body transformed into that of a specter, he was now known only as Scorpion. Quan Chi approached Scorpion and told him that after he had died, the Lin Kuei massacred the Shirai Ryu, killing them all and then Sub-Zero killed his family. Scorpion was in shock and disbelief, now he could never be reunited with his family, his screams of anger echoed throughout the Netherrealm: he vowed he would get revenge on the man he believed responsible: Sub-Zero.
Sub-Zero found the fortress and defeating the Gods of Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire, took the amulet and gave it to Quan Chi. Quan Chi laughed and then jumped through a portal to the Netherrealm, Sub-Zero did not care at first and turned to leave, but the Thunder God, Raiden appeared and ordered him to take the amulet back from Quan Chi. Raiden told Sub-Zero that it would be used to bring Shinnok back and then all of Earthrealm would be plunged into darkness, Sub-Zero, because he had no other choice accepted and jumped through the portal to the Netherrealm. Once he landed in the Netherrealm, Sub-Zero was captured and locked in the Prison of Souls.
Part 14: Mythologies, Part 3: Escape from Shinnok
Scorpion was told that Sub-Zero had been locked in the Prison of Souls and went to find him. Inside the Prison of Souls, Scorpion met Sub-Zero and angrily yelled at him for killing him in cold blood and then killing his family and clan. Sub-Zero said he had no choice, but to kill Scorpion. He also said he was not responsible for the deaths of his family and clan and that Quan Chi was the one truly responsible. Scorpion refused to listen and attacked Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero once again came out the victor, knocking Scorpion out; he then escaped the Prison of Souls continuing on his mission.
Scorpion now had lost everything: his life, his family, and his clan and now he had lost his honor as a warrior. Scorpion now knew nothing but anger and revenge.
Sub-Zero found Quan Chi and prepared to fight, but Quan Chi made an offer to Sub-Zero to join the Brotherhood of Shadow and serve Shinnok since his soul was tainted with evil, but Sub-Zero refused and Quan Chi sent his assassins Kia, Jataaka and Sareena to kill Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero killed Kia and Jataaka, but spared Sareena. Sareena was astounded that she was spared and when Sub-Zero fought with Quan Chi, Sareena assisted and helped to defeat Quan Chi. Suddenly Sareena was struck in the back by Shinnok. She fell in Sub-Zeros arms and apparently died. Upset at what Shinnok had done, Sub-Zero attacked the former Elder God, Sub-Zero was no match for Shinnok, but he succeeded in removing the amulet from Shinnoks neck. Upset, Shinnok transformed into a monster and chased Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero was saved by Raiden, who opened a portal to allow Sub-Zero to return to Earthrealm. Sub-Zero returned the amulet to Raiden and demanded to be thanked for his efforts, despite the fact that he had caused the situation. He also asked if it was true that his soul was tainted with evil. Raiden confirmed this, but it was not too late to change his ways. Sub-Zero chose to remain loyal to the Lin Kuei.
Part 15: Special Forces, Part 1: Breakout
The Black Dragon made themselves known, as they became one of the most wanted criminals in the world. Its leader Kano, the most wanted of all. Two Special Forces agents became determined to track him down: Major Jackson Briggs and Sonya Blade.
Unbeknownst to them, the Red Dragon was assisting the US Special Forces in tracking the Black Dragon down. Kano broke several members out of jail: Tasia, No Face, Jarek and Tremor. Major Briggs, better known as Jax was assigned to bring them back to jail. With radio orders from his fellow agent, Gemini. Jax tracked them to a warehouse, in which he found several of his Special Forces friends dead. Jax vowed Kano would pay. Jax traveled through the warehouse when he came across No Face, Jax proved too strong and No Face was defeated and captured.
Part 16: Special Forces, Part 2: The Eye of Shitian
As Jax walked through the sewers, he came across Tasia, Tasia was a formidable fighter, but Jax defeated her and captured her. After Jax defeated her, he made his way through the sewer where he found the office of the Black Dragon and Jarek waiting for him. Jarek was defeated and captured by Jax.
With the help of a map, Jax saw earlier, he tracked Kano to the lost city of Sin Kiang and when he got there, came across an ancient cave where he found Tremor. Jax fought and defeated Tremor. He discovered Kano had traveled to the Realm of Outworld and chased after him.
As Jax made his way through Outworld, he eventually came across Kano, who now possessed the Eye of Shitian and proclaimed that Jax would be the first to serve him. Jax and Kano fought with Jax coming out the winner. Jax took Kano and the Eye of Shitian back to Outworld.
Part 17: Mortal Kombat, Part 1: Liu Kang
The time was coming for the next Mortal Kombat tournament, Outworld had won 9 victories, Raiden was beginning to lose hope, all other warriors he had sent had failed. However, as the Shaolin prepared to send their next representative, he saw his final hope in a young man: He was skilled, talented, brave, noble and honorable. His name was Liu Kang and he was about to become Earthrealms greatest hero.
Liu Kang had long since despised Shang Tsung and did not desire to win the tournament to become champion, rather to retake it for the Shaolin Monks. He approached the Shaolin Monks and accepted the offer to go to Shang Tsungs island and compete. He thought he could use Goros overconfidence against him. He vowed he wouldnt fail. On his way out, Liu Kang met with his friend, Kung Lao, a descendant of the original Kung Lao 500 years ago. Kung Lao had no interest in becoming the Champion of Mortal Kombat, but asked Liu Kang to avenge his ancestor. Liu Kang promised him that he would defeat Goro and Shang Tsung.
Part 18: Mortal Kombat, Part 2: Old Wounds
As the boat to take the fighters to the tournament arrived, an actor named Johnny Cage had accepted the invitation to the tournament; he was a well-known actor, whose movies were well known for his incredible stunts. However, film critics had criticized his skills saying they were merely special effect work. Johnny Cage sought out to prove that they were wrong and joined the tournament.
Sub-Zero was invited to join the tournament as well, paid by one of Shang Tsungs wealthy enemies; he was hired to assassinate Shang Tsung. Sub-Zero accepted, knowing that it was his best chance to get close to Shang Tsung.
Meanwhile Scorpion had spent the last two years in the Netherrealm, focusing and training when he was approached by Shinnok and Quan Chi. They offered him the chance to return to the world of the living and avenge his death. Scorpion accepted and learned that Sub-Zero was entering the Mortal Kombat tournament. Scorpion followed him.
Part 19: Mortal Kombat, Part 3: Sonya and Kano
As the boat took leave, numerous vehicles approached the docks, the Special Forces led by Sonya Blade were chasing down the Black Dragon, which were once again being led by Kano. Kano had heard of the riches in Shang Tsungs palace and planned to steal them. Jumping from the Black Dragon truck to Shang Tsungs boat, Sonya Blade prepared to follow him.
On the boat, Kano had already made two friends and upon recognizing Johnny Cage, began to pester him. Liu Kang saw this and distracted Kano, which allowed Johnny Cage to attack him with his Shadow Kick, before Kanos friends could jump into the fray. Liu Kang knocked them unconscious with his Flying Kick. Liu Kang greeted Johnny Cage and the two became friends.
Meanwhile Sub-Zero had watched the battle from above, but did not see Scorpion coming from behind him. Scorpion grabbed Sub-Zero by the neck and held him up. Sub-Zero was shocked to see Scorpion had returned. Scorpion said that he could kill Sub-Zero at this moment, but he is not a murderer and they will fight at the tournament. Scorpion released his rival, who remarked that he was a fool for sparing his life.
Part 20: Mortal Kombat, Part 4: The Tournament Begins
At dawn, the boat arrived and the warriors disembarked, Sonya Blade and her men arrived on the island, shortly before, but were ambushed by Shang Tsungs men. Sonya was tied up and taken to Shang Tsung. He told her that she would fight in the tournament; otherwise her men who were locked in a cell would be killed. Sonya had no choice but to agree.
Raiden had also arrived on the island to oversee the tournaments proceedings. Shang Tsung with Goro told the warriors that their lives were riding on their performances in the tournament. He then introduced them to the still tied up Sonya and as the warriors watched some with fear and some with anger in their eyes. Goro announced, Let the Tournament begin!
I added some stuff in the MK1 story. Also I haven't played Special Forces so forgive me if I made a mistake I'll gladly correct it.

Well, it's pretty good overall, though there are some errors.
Part 1: When you say two beings, do you mean two types of beings or simply two beings? If you mean two types of beings, then yes, that's right. I don't know where you got this, but the One Being didn't declare war on the Elder Gods out of arrogance. It is simply said that a war raged in the timeless void. It wasn't stated who waged the war, and to think about it, don't you think that it would be the Elder Gods who declared war on the One Being since the One Being fed off of them? The Elder Gods didn't separate the One Being's consciousness into the 6 Kamidogu. The Kamidogu are the weapons that the Elder Gods created to smash the One Being's consciousness into the many realms of reality and the Elder Gods became the rulers of this reality and overlooked on things to make sure that the realms stayed in existence. Where was it stated that each of the Kamidogu was appointed to a God to guard? I don't remember that. From what I recall, the Elder Gods scattered the Kamidogu in each of the 6 realms and hid them somewhere that couldn't easily be found so that the inhabitants that were to emerge from the realms won't find them and bring them together to bring back the One Being.
Part 2: Reptile's race are known as the Raptors, not Zatteran. The Raptors fled from Earthrealm to Zattera.
Part 3: Perhaps under influence from the One Being? No, it's definite that Shao Kahn IS influenced by the One Being thus his lust for conquering other realms and merging them with Outworld. Such a merger brings more pieces of the One Being's shattered consciousness back together.
Part 7: Shang Tsung also got the knowledge of the location of the Map of Elements when he absorbed the Original Kung Lao's soul.
Part 8: There's one slight inaccuracy with this part and that it didn't take 60 years for Shujinko to complete his quest. It took him 42 years if you count the beginning of his quest after the 5 years training he has with Bo' Rai Cho in Bo's Earthrealm home or 47 years if you count the time after Shujinko first met Damashi. Either way, he was 60 years old when his quest came to an end.
Part 10: Well, with the way Vogel fucked things up by once again referring to the Lin Kuei as a ninja clan, I guess that the Lin Kuei can currently be referred to as a ninja clan. I preferred it how John Tobias fixed things with MKMSZ and MK4/MKG. The Lin Kuei members are also thieves and spies, not just assassins. Takeda founded Ninjutsu.
Part 13: It was a temple he went into, not a fortress...
Part 14: Well yeah, but Quan Chi said to Sub-Zero that he was able to enter the Netherrealm due to the taint of evil in his soul.
Part 17: I'm pretty sure that the Original Kung Lao is also the ancestor of Liu Kang.
Part 18: Well, at the end of MKM: SZ, Shang Tsung came to the Lin Kuei headquarters and invited Sub-Zero to participate in the tournament. Sub-Zero agreed to do so and before the tournament, the Lin Kuei ordered Sub-Zero to assassinate Shang Tsung. The storyline about a wealthy enemy of Shang Tsung's hiring Sub-Zero to assassinate Shang Tsung seems rather retconned with the way Sub-Zero's MK2 storyline is. I'm not so sure if Shinnok and Quan Chi were the ones that allowed Scorpion to escape from the Netherrealm, especially considering that if they could have the power to let Scorpion leave the Netherrealm, then what were they waiting for when it came to themselves leaving the Netherrealm? I believe that it was someone else who helped Scorpion escape.
That's all I have to say when it comes to the different parts. Regarding what Jax said in MK: Shaolin Monks, well, I don't think it would make sense to consider much of anything from MKSM to be canon, especially since it contradicts certain things from MKM: SZ, MKD, and most of all, MK2. Also, Bo' Rai Cho is a native of Outworld and had spent many years in Earthrealm. You'd think that if the bit Jax said about time in Outworld was true that Bo' would look much older than he does, but yet he doesn't...Therefore, that bit about time being different in Outworld doesn't make sense. It's simply that beings from most to all other realms have much longer life spans and that their aging processes are different.

In defence of Quan Chi and Shinnok sending Scorpion to kill Sub-Zero:
Remember Quan Chi is a free-roaming sorcerer who could enter and leave any realm he wished.
Also, we know Quan Chi and Shinnok were able to send Noob Saibot and later Mileena out of the Netherealm to spy, so it is within their power to send other people to other realms.
Maybe it was just Shinnok who could not leave. At least not until he had the Amulet's power.
And/or they were simply waiting for the right time to strike. I mean, they attack after MK3; when Earth is still recovering from the Outworld invasion, Shao Kahn is missing or weakened, and Edenia is still vulnerable. Good time to make their move, no?

Yeah, I see what you're saying so I suppose I'll just have to retract that bit I brought up regarding Scorpion though I will stick with the rest of what I had said unless there's something else I messed up on.

Well I haven't played MK: Mythologies so I don't know every exact detail of what happened. I know Shang Tsung got that information from Kung Lao, but I forget to put that in. Silly me.... And I was looking at wikipedia when I was typing this, so that could be it. ^^;

I'll fix those mistakes later, but here's my version of MK1's story, hope you like.
Part 21: Mortal Kombat, Part 5: Lovely Couple
As the tournament fighters were given their matches, Liu Kang and Johnny Cage untied Sonya. Sonya was distrustful at first, but came to like Liu Kang for his nobility, however Johnny Cage, she seemed to completely loathe, he was cocky and arrogant. Sonyas cold attitude and Johnnys cockiness brought them into conflict many times, though deep down they were strangely attracted to each other. Raiden knew one of these three warriors would be the deciding factor in the outcome of the tournament.
Part 22: Mortal Kombat, Part 6: Cold Blood
Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Sonya each made it past their matches defeating their opponents. Kano defeated every opponent he faced and ripped out their heart every time. Sub-Zero also made progress in the tournament, ripping the spine out of every opponent. Scorpion also defeated all the opponents he face in the tournament, though he did not kill them. He only came to kill Sub-Zero.
Part 23: Mortal Kombat, Part 7: Raiden's teachings
Raiden saw much potential in Liu Kang, soon he would be considered worthy to face Goro. Liu Kang, having been trained by Master Bo Rai Cho, had been preparing for this battle for years, but he was not entirely sure he could accomplish it. Raiden decided to spar with Liu Kang, to help him prepare for his battle.
Part 24: Mortal Kombat, Part 8: Reptile
As Johnny Cage found himself wondering around the Pit, he came across a ninja neither Scorpion nor Sub-Zero. His name was Reptile. After the war between Raiden and Shinnok was over, the Raptors migrated to Zaterra, where their realm was added to Outworld by Shao Kahn, who then enslaved the Raptors, however Reptile was trained to be a servant of Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung, he did not know what happened to the rest of his race. Reptile was assigned to be Shang Tsungs bodyguard. When Reptile saw Johnny Cage, he attacked him, the two fought over the pit, however Reptile took Johnny Cage by surprise and threw him into the pit to the spikes below. Thinking he had won, Reptile left, but Johnny Cage survived by clinging the ledge.
Part 25: Mortal Kombat, Part 9: Defeat
Meanwhile, Sonya found herself facing Kano in the tournament. Sonya fought long and hard, but she sadly lost, but Kano did not kill her, instead he desired to make her suffer longer. Sonyas men were executed and Sonya found herself filled with more hatred for Kano than ever.
Part 26: Mortal Kombat, Part 10: The Words of Raiden
Sub-Zero, meanwhile thought of what Raiden told him on that night two years ago, about his soul being tainted, dismissing it as nothing, Sub-Zero decided he would continue to work for the Lin Kuei.
Part 27: Mortal Kombat, Part 11: Memories
Scorpion was haunted by the deaths of his family and clan, Scorpion could picture it in his mind, the cold Lin Kuei warriors striking down and killing his family maliciously and mercilessly. Scorpion was overcome by anger.
Part 28: Mortal Kombat, Part 12: Liu Kang vs. Goro
Meanwhile, the time had come for Liu Kang to fight Goro, Earthrealm was riding on his victory, and Liu Kang was the final hope. Bravely, but nervously he entered Goros lair and the Champion of Mortal Kombat, Goro, sprung forth and attacked the young warrior. The battle was long and hard, but Liu Kang succeeded and took the Mortal Kombat Champion belt from Goro. He had won, Earthrealm had been saved. After defeating Goro, Liu Kang left to challenge Shang Tsung himself, it was time to do what he came to do. After he had left, Goro stood up, ashamed of his lost, Goro jumped through a portal to Outworld and drove himself into exile.
Part 29: Mortal Kombat, Part 13: Melee
In Shang Tsungs palace, word of Goros defeat reached Shang Tsungs ear. Shang Tsung was enraged and sent his warriors to destroy all of Earthrealms fighters. All were killed, except Liu Kang, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Kano, Scorpion and Sub-Zero. They all made their way to Shang Tsungs palace. They all confronted each other and a vast melee began, Scorpion finally got the fight with Sub-Zero, he had been waiting for. Sonya angrily attacked Kano to avenge her men, while Johnny Cage once again fought with Reptile. Liu Kang personally challenged Shang Tsung and the two began the battle that would once and for all, decide Earthrealms fate.
Sonya fought more viciously this time, but Kano put up a good fight, as time went on, Kano was forced to run and Sonya followed him. Scorpion and Sub-Zero appeared equal with neither at an obvious advantage, Sub-Zero decided to tactically retreat to give him some time. Scorpion followed, intent to avenge his family and clan.
Johnny Cage won the rematch with Reptile and knocked him out. Liu Kang told him to go help Sonya while he stayed to fight Shang Tsung. Johnny Cage agreed and went to help Sonya. Liu Kang and Shang Tsung stared each other down and continued their fight, the battle was tiring, but Liu Kang defeated Shang Tsung with the Flying Kick, Bo Rai Cho had taught him. As soon as Shang Tsung was rendered unconscious, the island began to crumple. Liu Kang ran out of the palace as fast as he could.
Part 30: Mortal Kombat, Part 14: Vengeance achieved
Meanwhile Scorpion fought with Sub-Zero with Raiden as the sole spectator. Sub-Zero appeared to be winning, but Scorpions rage allowed him to gain the advantage. Scorpion defeated Sub-Zero and prepared to kill him. Sub-Zero pleaded for mercy, which angered Scorpion as Sub-Zero granted him and no other victim any. Scorpion revealed what was now his face: a skull and out of its mouth came a stream of flames that burned Sub-Zero to a crisp, the Lin Kuei assassin was no more. Scorpion burst into flames and turned to ash as the island continued to crumble.
Shang Tsung awoke and he and Reptile jumped through a portal to Outworld. Meanwhile Sonya knocked Kano out, but found the island starting to crumple, her only way out was a nearby portal. She couldnt leave Kano behind, as she wanted him to pay for his crimes in full. Sonya threw Kano through the portal and then jumped through herself. Johnny Cage saw this and tried to follow her, but he nearly fell to his death as the island crumpled below him, he was saved by Raiden, who then picked up Liu Kang and flew them both off the island.
Shang Tsungs island crumpled into the sea, with only fragments remaining.
There we go, next time Mortal Kombat 2, a storyline which is NOT Shaolin Monks.

Interesting though some of that sounds like speculation. Even so, still pretty accurate stuff overall there. Raiden took part in the tournament since he was personally invited by Shang Tsung. How much he fought or who he fought is uncertain, but he definitely took part.

^Some of it is, what I think may have happened, I'm guessing that sometime Johnny Cage and Reptile may have met though.

Good. I didn't think you would anyway. I understand if you're busy and all. Take your time.

Hey, Sub-Zero 7th, you said
"'m pretty sure that the Original Kung Lao is also the ancestor of Liu Kang."
No way we can just forget that? After all, it's *crap*, because
-it takes away from Kung Lao's storyline
-it's *another* plot point taken from the movies, which storywise were...bad
-it's only in Goro's hidden MK4 bio. And the team couldn't even get their tenses right- they say "Lao's ancestor, Liu Kang" when it should be "Lao's descendant".

It also said that Liu is the descendant of the original Kung Lao in the MK1 trading cards by Classic. (Which came out WAY before the movie.)
