Playing the computer is pointless.

But I am saying when you do face the cpu they do those things. I think it is cheating. Have they ever did those types of things to you?

Yes the computer can do things that people can't. There are also things you can't do against the computer that you can do against people (like Jade's return boomerang). They probably created tons of different moves and combos and then went through and editted out the commands to activate the ones they didn't want but left the code for them there and left the computer with access to make them happen. (For a MSHvSF combo vid people managed to hack into the game and allow use of moves that were not normally useable, and were probably left over from development).

The computer is very simple. And it really seems like not a ton of time was put into programming it. Thats why you can repeat smokes 3 hit popup combo with a break in the middle forever. Thats why in MK3 the computer doesn't block nets or screams within sweep distance. It's just dumb like that. And thats why playing it is pointless.

Playing a real person is the way to go because then that way, the impossible can't happen.

The MK3-T AI is notorious for cheating. Especially Kabal, Shang Tsung, and Motaro.
Playing against the computer is boring anyways. It's a hell of a lot more fun to play against someone else instead.

I must disagree cause even when its cpu , you still can learn to improve your speed when he attacks you , hes not blockin oh okay but he attacks you sometimes and you can learn how to give him answer to his attacks , you can also do it against human players.
Playing CPU its not that bad afterall
AI is stupid but you cant say that you didnt learn anything when you play against AI...
only cause hes not blockin and only repeating programmed commands...
For beginners AI is very hard but nothing can compare with human mind and you find some ways to use cheats to win repeating one move several times , like he does , actually its not practice cause human almost always will push block afer 3 repeats of one move.Its not abut tactics but about improving reaction and speed when you play the game , doesnt matter if its agains AI or human.

I personally have used save states against the computer. Jump away, you'll be hit by a projectile, jump toward and they'll either jumpkick you or hit you some other way. Run forward and you'll be thrown. Be anywhere close and you'll be thrown. Be close enough to a dial-a-combo and try and do it and either you're not close enough or you'll be thrown. Sweep kick and you get thrown. Uppercut and you'll get uppercutted. HP or LP and you'll either get block > thrown or block > dial-a-combo.

The only way I can manage to hit the AI is jumpkicking over projectiles, sweep kick and pray not to get thrown, and sometimes a block > uppercut against certain moves.

Playing against AI you learn how to react to opponent frames and animations

I'm telling you regardless, playing the CPU won't make you a better player.
