the mask of raiden?

I am a happy well adjusted emotinally disturbed person, and for some reason all the raiden sprites keep staring at me I mean it tell them to stop, they are scaring me hides

my friend pred gave me this one, and the avvy that goes with it, but I love the ones flameshang and darkryder gave me too, so expect a cycle of these three folks

Yah know, this came up in my head last night while joking around with a friend, we were talking about mortal kombat (he had informed me of armaggedon, which I all ready knew obviously oh well) when I mentioned how raiden's eyes creep me out when he said "yeah its like his face is a mask" well the thing with me is the wheels started to turn, fast. What if both raiden and fujin are in a sense, wearing masks. What if their bodies are 'fake' and they are beings of something more etheral, the human forms are just there to keep other mortals from freaking out. Just a thought what do you guys think?

Well yeah. Raiden died in MKD. He said that when his mortal body reformed again.... So their bodies are more like Avatars.

I think it's exactly like that. Raiden's MK1 bio already stated that he took the form of a human to compete in the tournament. His real appearance is probably the bolt of a thunder itself and that's what we can see in his eyes.

Actually, this is still his human like appearance given him by a Japanese artist in 13th century. This wooden statue can now be seen in Kyoto's Sanjusangendo Temple BTW.

Besides, I don't think Midway precisely follows Japanese mythology, so they have their own kind of thunder god only based on the mentioned mythology.

ah yes the demonic form, although the caption for that said god of rain, not thunder, but I think he is god of both anyway, but I think our mk raiden's true form is more like one of those yellow glowing being from coccon, only electric and a whitish blue color, just a thought
