I thought it was better than the arcade/midi Super Nintendo version, it seemd to fit the Pit 3 more than the arcade versions did though it didn't really fit Motaro's stage.

I think Pit 3 on Genesis uses 2 or 3 instruments, and SNES uses at least 6 (due to a better sound chip). They even tried to immitate the chorus but it sounds crappy. I think overall the Genesis version is more accurate in terms of the rhythm, but certainly not instrument/sound quality. I have noticed this in a lot of different Genesis games, where they will have really terrible sounding musics, but it has the rhythm and tempo of the arcade counter parts, whereas SNES seems to take some peotic license on things but I don't always like that. I was disappointed with the Soul Chamber's music on SNES, the music and stuff was good, but it didn't have all the parts to it that were in the arcade.

I much prefer the Genesis sound over the SNES sound. I don't know why, I just like it better. All the MK music sounds better on the Genesis IMO.
