Okay, personally I think that MK should not have guns and Special Forces. This game was meant for Kung Fu and Mythology genre, not guns and Special Forces! They should re-make the Special Forces into something else, for example:

1. Jax should be a wrestler, he does have the size, he looked more like a wrestler in MK2

2. Sonya should be just a plain martial artist, she is dressed like one in MK1 so just have her like a martial artist, it would fit her

3. The Special Forces should be replaced with a Samurai Clan, or something else.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

It would be cool to do a Lun Kuei RPG-like game. You start out as a rookie Lin Kuei and train with other anonymus guys and it could lead up to the Mortal Kombat tournament. But you could also do stuff like assination missions and other ninja stuff like that.

That might work as well but instead you join the Black or Red Dragon Clans.

You could have like an ancient army, like the Romans or the Greeks or The Mongols . . . that are doing quests for Quan-Chi or someone like Shinnok or the Dragon King, Onaga.wink

Also, what I was thinking was that you could have a martial arts clan from the Earthrealm, or you could have a clan of cavemen that are working with Shao Kahn . . . without a doubt those ideas are better than the Special Forces.wink

Don't bump your own thread...three times...As Dreemer said, there is the edit button.

When you look at a post you've already made, you can click the edit button to add content to an existing post. Making 3 posts in a row is not the best way to do it.

I am not making three posts, do you understand that my post is about possible replacements for the Special Forces, because they are lame! Understand that this thread was suppost to have a debate on ideas other than the special forces, got it, good. I hope I cleared that upwink

LoL, wow you're dense. Its easy to understand the topic but you made 3 posts in a row without anyone making any posts between. Do you see that? Just scroll up a little. That's what we're referring to. That's the problem.

I've wanted an MK RPG for a while. I started working on one ages ago but I didn't know enough about programming then to get anywhere. Nowadays my time is spent on my own version of UMK3T. But maybe someday it'll happen and be cool.

But, I wouldn't make a remake of MK Special Forces, because its called Special Forces so obviously they wanted it to be about Special Forces. I'd rather have an MK Mythologies style game, but with more of a classic RPG feel to it. I wonder what it would be like to replace the graphics and text of Chronotrigger to make it MK style. It could actually be really insanely cool considering the attack types, the storyline, the locations and all. Well, not so much 65million BC but most of the others.

Yeah, its pretty lame when you see guns and that crap during the fights in Mk.

But other then that, the story behind the special characters is cool and has played a central role in the storyline since game 1. It ties with way too many characters/clans to be "replaced".

Yeah, but still, The Special Forces can stay, as long as they don't have guns . . . Ah, that is so lame. Trust me, they should be martial arts experts from the Special Forces instead.wink
