This is an interesting little thing I discovered if I ever saw one.
I was in practice mode, playing as Bo' Rai Cho against Scorpion on the Lost Tomb stage. Just to fool around a little, I pinned Scorpion into the bottom right corner and started whacking him into the air with his Jojutsu Pop-Up attack (b+2). To my surprise, After hitting Scorpion a few times with it, he actually flew over the invisible wall and landed in the outside area of the arena where the statues stand.
I tried it again, but this time I needed to hit him quite a number of times with the pop-up attacks before he flew over. But he eventually did.
I decided to test this with a human player, to see if you could actually move the character around if they were outside the boundaries of the arena. After a lot of whacking into the air it eventually worked. The results were quite interesting.
To both our surprise, my human opponent was able to move around even though they had supposedly been knocked over the wall. He was able to shoot projectiles through the wall as if it wasn't there. He tried walking into the statues that stand on the outside of the arena, and they actually don't physically exist as far as the game's concerned. They aren't solid 3D models and he was able to walk straight through them as if they weren't there. Interesting. BUT it gets better...once he had been knocked over, he was able to jump back into the arena, and jump backwards back out again! The game allowed him to do this several times before it stopped him. I tried following him by attempting to jump out myself, but it didn't work.
We also found out that it probably doesn't matter who the character that get's knocked over the wall is. When I did it in practice mode it was against Scorpion, but my human opponent chose Nitara and I was still able to whack him over.
I'm yet to get this working on any other arena, but if I do, I'll let you know. Has anyone else experienced this?
PS, If you are going to try this, keep in mind it may take a lot of whacking into the air before you knock them over the wall. I was constantly hitting for several 60 second rounds and didn't knock them over...so patience is the key. You can also try changing the angle you are coming at them from.
Interesting, no?

Cool, I dont know if it has ever been mentioned before. But you should try using Scorpion's spear across the wall, it won't be able to pull him over the wall so it just stays stuck in! Believe it or not thats the first time I actually put MKDA in the PS2 this week!

Well I've only been able to hit them over the wall with Bo's Jojutsu pop-up.
Remember, if you are going to try this, you need to push your opponent into the bottom right corner of the Lost Tomb arena (from where you start the round). That's into the corner part, as far right as you can go then as far down (towards the screen from where the round starts) as you can go.

it seems that fatalities are "turned off" after you have stepped out of the arena..cause even if you step back in it, you cant do a fatality..still a good find...now just to get it on other stages. good find white_pointer

LMAO..I discovered this MONTHS ago a never told anyone. I think it was in March. I was just messing around with Sub vs Scorp in practice and i kept using Sub's Dragon: b+2 repeatedly on the tombstone. he eventually went through the wall. I tried to jump in and couldn't. Also, this was for Gamecube version, so it's probably in all versions.

I invented Mortal Kombat years before it was made. I just never told anyone about it so all credit goes my way thx.

I did it on the Gamecube version.
And who cares if someone posted this a long time ago? It doesn't look like a lot people knew this existed to me.

I remember that it was discussed during the winter on the forum. Someone also experienced that thing with the mummies in the Lost Tomb that you could walk trough them and things like that, Interesting stuff, but unfortunately, it's just a glitch and not an actual secret. You should try to enter the "Amulet Portal" in that stage. It will maybe bring you to the Netherealm just like Quan Chi did , haha good stuff !

you can do it in every stage the isnt circular...the tomb, palace grounds, lung hai temple, lava shrine, etc. seeing some one walk on air is pretty wicked.
and this may have been posted before..but the poster didnt give very good detail on how to do it..."i hit them up aginst the wall, and they just went through"...white_pointers method is 100% accurate.

I posted about that glitch on March 1 after i was using Blaze to beat up Cyrax in practice mode in the tomb on the XBOX. Being able to walk through the backgrounds and stuff is pretty cool, but it doesn't really have much value. Has this been the only arena you've been able to do it in? I do think it'd be cool to see it happen in some different places.

I never said it WAS a secret. It's obviously a glitch. A pretty amusing one at that though :)

I cannot do the wall "jump" I have tried it, is it just for a specific system or what. And where is the spot where I have to put the player? I put it in the right as everyone says but still I can't. I have the Xbox game.
