yeah dude..fan lift set ups were top notch. it's weird.. i adjust better with Cage on PS2 than Sub even though im mutch better with Sub. Gotta admit my ice shaker set ups are pretty fucking good. Nice Sub juggle you pulled BTW. It's simple and flashy. What was it? Dragon: 3,b+2,d+3,d+1,b,f+4? something kick ass like that. Yes, ReptileStyle has the best Kitana i've ever played. Very good shit, and while I still know she's the worst in the game(basically fact) I definately believe she cant compete atleast up to the bottom mid tier characters. She just has some very impossible matches like vs Bo,Scorp,Sonya,Shang,Drahmin,Jax,Hsu Hao,Frost etc.


We didnt have the tournament because there was only 3 people. Guys..next time we really have to spread the word around all sorts of sites and gets some digital cameras up in this mess. Make it like a big thing..lots of money on the line. Then people would travel. Id love to get to play JRF,Konqrr,Menthol,Ray,MRS,MKL,etc, but that wont happen with small shows like this.

when i my friends and i had a tournament last year, we posted on all the mk forums. even on some fan sites that some never go to. then, you'll wanna advertise locally. pirnt out an add for the tournament like we did. ask stores to put them up in the windows. we hung some on telephone poles, put them on peoples doors, car windows(in walmart parking lot..lol) handed them to people on the street, printed it in the local news paper)...yes we actually did this. besure to put your phone number and ask them to call in interested...just in case they arent sure.

and i found out that you are better off doing what we did..except posting on the forums..that did nothing. why? cause, back in the day when people were young, they actually would travel to play mk. nowadays, the people that would travel (like myself) have grown up and either dont have time to travel, or just have something better to do...most have families of their own.

you need to jack up the entry fee a few bucks, and make the reward for winning actually worh traveling for. it may take some of your own money to make up for some prize money...and be sure to have a trophy or something of that nature.

also, you might wanna ask around at some of the local video stores and ask if they would like to sponsor your tournament..be sure to kiss their ass and tell them it would be good publicity and good for buisness.

Hey, Versatile. I'm the guy with no name. Finally decided to register after browsing this site for so long. Sorry that your tourny didn't work out the way you planned but for what it's worth thanks for the pointers. Especially with the auto-tracking. I definately want to work on improving.

youve heard of them...some people hardly visit some "fansites". most of the mk foorums are closed now. so, that just left some of the "less popular" fan sites. but anyway, no...no one from the forums showed...which is why i said it was a waste of time, you would be better off advertising like i said..but hey, posting couldnt hurt. just dont do it at mk5.org or mkalliance.net cause no one will show.

i reccomend signing peoples guest books, emailing webmasters, etc. anything you can to to promote it.

Video Game World Closes at 8:00.....So a 30 minute tournament wouldnt really work out. But with me,you,tony,sst,and your 2 friends we would have a pretty tight tournament. How does Sunday sound? or maybe you can take a day off on thanksgiving weekend

I hate having to say this but Friday's a problem too. I have a comp sci. midterm from 2:50-4:10 and then work at 6. I probably won't be able to make it this weekend.

Ok then..if not this friday because of Tony's mid term...why not next friday at 5:00? That way Tony can get a good hour of play,SST can show, I can show and so can ReptileStyle with a friend. It may be hard to bring a friend. I have one or two in mind but they don't play MK much. It's one of the reasons I don't have good competition and have difficulty improving. I'll see what I can do about my work schedule next Friday. Hopefully they won't need me at 5.

So yeah..next friday at 5 looks like a good date. I'm sure RS is cool with, and as long as Tony and SST dont have afterschool at activities it looks like that will be the date. Make sure everyone(including your friends) brings 10 bucks, and if you guys have the PS2 version of MKDA make sure to bring it. I'll try to get better with the PS2 bad over spaz's house this saturday(im coming to philly to kick your ass son!).
