win by time against someone from shao kahn's treasures and it will glitch and bring you back to some tower at select your destiny screen.

If you win by time over on an endurance match, it brings you back to a random spot in a tower, you'll face a character, but no matter what it will be Kano, he seems to be a default for a lot of glitches where he'll appear randomly, might have something to do with him being in the default second player spot on the selection screen in MK3, but anyway, then if you beat Kano, you'll fight another special endurance, eventually getting up to Kung Lao's protrait and the game will crash on Mame, I did this glitch at 8 on the Break about a year ago for some people and the machine just resets. Coincidentally I also did the Green Shang Tsung glitch as well for them, got it on the first shot.

Ahh, I remember this trick. The first time this happened to me I was in shock, seeing how I loved to play UMK3 back in the day. Anyway, you have to be playing on revision 1.0 or 1.1. The trick was taken out in 1.2 so it won't work as I've tried it several times. Basically, all you have to do is choose to fight Ermac as a reward, perform a Mercy and finish him, with or without a fatality. From there you will be given the option to "Choose Your Destiny" again and continue fighting. I've managed to do this a few times, however the game does crash eventually if you continuously use the free game trick.

The only time the fight between you and Ermac takes place on the blue portal is if you haven't unlocked the 3 hidden characters. After you've done that then you will fight on the Pit III. Hope this helps.

Cool. didn't know about the endurance/treasure win by time glitch. And I did suspect that not unlocking ermac was a reason I couldn't get to the pit III. Thanks for confirming.
