Unofficial MK Game: Mortal Kombat Konquest
Hi guys!
I'm a Mortal Kombat series fan as you are and as a tribute to this great series i decided to work on a 2D Beat'em up MK game. There is a game named "Beats Of Rage". The authors used SNK sprites from "King Of Fighters" series to build a "Streets of Rage" styled game. The source code is open and the game is completely freeware.
Many ppl created MODs for this engine, by converting classic games heres a small list list of the original games and the "BoR MODs" X-Men, Ghouls and Ghosts (Ghouls and Ghosts Returns), Samurai Shodown (Village Of Rage), TMNT (Raphael is Missing), Sonic (Sonic X Battle), Kill Bill, Megaman (War of The Past), Castlevania (Symphony of Destruction).
I am working on a Mortal Kombat mod named: Mortal Kombat Konquest. The main difference between MKK and other BoR mods is that i made lots of changes at the source code to adjust the game engine to my idea, specially to append the Fatalities animation (not special moves, but death animations are displayed when chars die). The Storyline is: Mileena and Baraka seeking for power turned against the emperor Shao Kahn and will destroy everything in their path till they get the throne of Edenia and rule it themselves.
There is no storyline connection between this game and original MK series releases.
This project is in middle stage, and there is a demo version avaliable for download.
If you want to check and review it, helping me to make it as best as possible, feel free to do it. Please visit: www.kingames.cjb.net, click the download session and get the demo 3 release.
The page is under heavy construction and unfortunately there is no english version avaliable yet. In a feel days it will be made.
Please, get it and give your opinion to make it as best as possible!
Thanks

Its a cool idea and pretty fun to play, but it gets really repetitive after a while. Kill batch of ninjas. Wait a couple seconds. Kill new batch of ninjas. Repeat over and over again. It just doesn't *go* anywhere, thats the only problem.

Hey there. Quite a few of us actually saw your MK Konquest mod from the DC Emulation forums. Keep it up.
