I think the best MK story ever is scorpion's story. He's a blood thirsty spawn looking for revenge after he was killed. How could it get much better then that

I'm quite fond of the Order/Chaos storyline.

I think Kitana has the best storyline.

Raised as an assassin believing Shao Kahn was her father, only to one day find out it was all a lie. Risks everything and turns her back on everything she's ever known and manages to reform herself in a noble princess. And continues to fight and persevere despite the mounting shit dumped on her at every turn.

A tie between current Sub-Zero and Kitana. Scorpion's story is lame as hell especially in MKDA.

Dairou's story - Darrius killed his parents. Now, Dairou has been ordered to assassinate his ex-superior (Hotaru) by him.

Sheeva's Story - Her emporer turned against her race, so she turned against her Emporer. Unfortunately Kano turned on her too...

Sindel.

Her realm is taken over. Kahn makes her his wife. She dies and the 10,000 year long plan to resurrect her on earth is what allows Kahn to enter the realm. Good stuff.

Original Sub-Zero/Noob. His was one of the least linear of the storylines, to me. He died in the first tournament, became a wraith, was minipulative, once his "Lord's" died, he became his own "person" and went to take over things hiself. And he showed no remorce to his brother in his Deception ending, which if it was cannon, would have been the shit, and would have been a huge change in the MK world, and would have been a huge step to what he set out to do. Story progression, gotta love it.

But it's a full fleshed out storyline your after, probably Shang Tsung.
The longest and deepest story of any MK character, and probably the one who has been involved with almost every other character's story too.

Pretty much MK3's whole plot is my favorite story, because it made me feel like I was involved, Shang Tsung resurects Sindel on Earth, then Shao Kahn goes through Earth to get her, the picture after that shows ordinary people like you and me having their souls taken and being killed, then it shows a picture of the centaur termination squad running through a field with a subtitle saying they were sent to kill any remaining humans, MK3 made me feel like the good guys were fighting for the human race and totally kick the bad guy's ass

I've always like Sub-Zero's and Kitana's.

For fighting games and a story in general hell yeah.It's always been good with the crazy twists hehe.
