I consider MK1 Ermac the ultimate Easter Egg. Can you imagine being so good that you can hide such a high profile and much sought after rumor/secret like this for almost two decades? When it comes to Ed Boon I don't think anything is out of the question.
You have to remember that it wasn't until recently that the UKK for MKT on the N64 was found. What if Ermac's code was hidden so discretely within the MK1 rom that even expert hackers couldn't decipher it? I think it is within the realm of possibility.
Boon's master plan may come full circle with the release of the new Mortal Kombat game in 2011. An MK1 Ermac revelation might be the ultimate awakening for gamers. I think we will all find out soon enough. I know the original enigma is out there somewhere, waiting in the shadows of data bits and 1's and 0's. I am a believer.

Why beating the dead horse again?
Search the threads and you'll see how many times it has been discussed about Ermac being in MK1,there's no proof,NOTHING to bring this crap back again.

I still believe that he is in the earlier versions of the game. Just like I still believe you can fight Rain in the arcade of UMK3. In the Rain bio card Boon did sort of slip it out of his mouth but that could also be here-say. He said that Rain was just a purple ninja in the attract mode and then players came up with these ideas on how they found him. Then later on we decided to go ahead and put him in the game but you couldn't play as him. Then in Trilogy we gave him special moves and made him playable. I still believe in these two existance of in my opinion super secret hidden fighters.

Seriously I've fought against an Ermac type guy in MK1 for Sega CD. There was this thing in an old magazine that described how to do it. Something with the cheat menu and turning on certain flags (I think they were flags). But it was something where you get to reptile and get a double flawless and perform a fatality (I think???... its been a while). Then you fight another reptile-like guy but he's all glitched out and flashes different colors and it froze up a lot too. This might not be exactly what your looking for but it is pretty cool....Also, I've always heard the Ermac glitch was in a very early version of the game and was probably only played by the developers... if it existed at all.
